8 hours.... a cake walk... There is 15 hours difference for us and she works 6 days a week!

I am with you. My time difference between Sunny and myself is 16 hours. I'm very fortunate that she works graveyards so we are in contact daily.

While we are waiting, I am busy preparing for after we get NOA2 approval. I am gathering tax info, pay stubs, letter of employment, and other stuff needed for the I-134. I want this as streamlined as possible. I still hold out hope that she will be here before our anniversary on August 28. Ideally, I hope to marry her on that day.

I love that someone was approved in like 30 days without expedite. Maybe the process will start going faster. =)

Dear everyone!

I see a lot of people asking about what we can do while waiting for our NOA2. There are a few advices that I have.(Just to make the waiting period easier)

1. Take up a hobby or start doing something you always wanted to do. For example, I am learning German.

2. Work on your looks to look amazing for your wedding. I am staring running in mid March, Aaron works out.

3. Work on your language skills. Watch movies, read books, learn new words in English. Believe my experience, the better you speak the language, the easier you are going to adapt to the US culture. I am reading Freud now :))

4. Spend a lot of time with family and friends because you will miss them.

Feel free to add points to my list.

Best of luck to everyone.

Great list!I feel the urge to spend more time with family and friends, it's going to be though leaving them all.... So I'm planning a few trips with friends before the summer:)

I can't get into our account on uscis.gov. I enter the case number and get into the page where it says initial review. When I try to log into our account I keep getting "internal service error" an if I try again I get another message about not being authoriezed to se the page or something (can't remember the exact wording). Anybody else have the same problem? (I have also tried to change the password..)

Hi everyone! Got my NOA1 on Feb 21st and so happy to see the VSC approval timeline getting shorter and shorter!

My fiance and I are hoping for a quick approval like everyone else. I am curious to see how my previous encounters with COs will affect our processing. I already have an alien number due to tourist visa denial because of our relationship. I have also been refused entry because I visited him too much and for too long! I had to conduct a sworn statement in a border control/immigration interview room at LAX about our relationship before I was shoved on the next flight home. Being denied a tourist visa and removed from VWP eligibility means I can't see him any more unless he comes to Australia! It is what ultimately made us decide to take the plunge and get married (a long time coming for us.. we've been seeing each other for 8 years).

On the other hand I am worried about a RFE since his naturalization certificate has his named spelled differently to his SSN & passport and he has been using the SSN spelling. I have listed it under aliases though. His father is also listed as deceased without any other information besides his name.

I'm hesitantly hopeful for a smooth approval, both in NOA2 and interview. It would be so cruel to be refused so many times because of our relationship and then somehow denied on K1... Anyway, hello!!

I have a question about your post. I have been denied a tourist visa once before, too. Not at the port of entry but at the embassy. Does that mean I have to have an alien registration number, too? We sent our I-129 without it, I didn't know I had one. What should I do? E-mail it to them?

Please help! This got me so worried!

I got denied at the embassy too. I did not know my alien # until I was refused entry and was written in my passport, but apparently you're assigned one the first time you deal with immigration and denied (I guess it's something to do with keeping track of aliens with possible red flags?). I enquired about it while I was waiting for my flight back. I had two awesome CBP officers ghosting me for several hours waiting for my flight home. One of them actually got her fiancé in on a K1 visa as well! Strangely enough she did not qualify for the "met within last 2 years" and had to petition. Good to know even CBP can't cut the queue. She encouraged me to try for K1 with my partner. Anyway I am getting off track.

In short.. don't worry about it! They will link it back for you when doing the background check.

Hey,

I received NOA1 in the mail today with a date of February 24, 2012 - so I guess this bumps me up a week - just 4 days but always something...

Yes, my hard copy NOA1 date moved me back by one day: every little bit counts.

Welcome to all the new people! Now that it's March, I'm assuming that the vast majority of us have NOA1 dates now? So I can really start paying attention to the timeline update emails from here on out, I guess? In my fantasies, we all get approved on the same day, but no doubt we'll all get to do our share of being thrilled for each other and not envious at all. This will be challenging.
