I know how you guys feel. I had a major freakout on my family yesterday, when trying to plan wedding related stuff. They want to have a Jack and Jill shower, and Tom would fly up here for it, but we're all freaking out about the dates, because I don't want it to be too close to whenever my interview date is, because I want Tom to be able to come with me to Montreal for that... and then we have two babies being born in my family in September... and it has to be on a Friday, so that Tom doesn't miss any work (his days off are Thurs-Fri, so he'd fly up on a Thursday morning, and then fly back on a Saturday morning to get back in time for his 2:30pm shift)... and all of this ended up with me in tears - and me messaging Tom saying that we're cancelling the "big" wedding and just going ahead with the courthouse one, for just us. LOL.

I know it's just because I'm frustrated because it's impossible to plan anything without this NOA2 though, so it will REALLY be a big relief on ALL my relationships, not just me and Tom. USCIS is KILLING me.

That's so similar here!!! I know it sounds terrible to say but I'm happy at least someone understands.

We constantly feel the weight of the family and friends trying to be nice and asking about the process and asking if we have news on the date and asking when I'm coming back to America etc. etc. etc. Then there is the planning, trying to explain wedding venues, caterers and others that we need a flexible date, that October could or could not work. Then there is separation. I've seen stories of people here being apart for over 7 months... I've never been apart that long but I already feel like I'm the saddest person in the world. Being apart from each other is already terrible, being apart from each other in this situation is amplifying it to a point where Kim and I sometimes can't bear it.

I mean how many times do you see a guy burst out in tears because of (seemingly) nothing?

I hope July is going to be a better month!

I will dedicate extra time in prayer for all us February filers.

A few more approvals today for VT - so that's a few less in front of us. Trying to renew my optimism - I go camping in Maine next week, so if I haven't heard anything by then, I'll swing by VT and shake them down for some answers.

And Sid took a look at the next batch of forms he'll have to complete and I can see THAT'S gonna be a good time - ay-yi-yi! I guess you can't save them like you could the i-129f and i-134. It'll be a fun little project for us I guess. Or my desperate attempt to look at the next step so I feel like we are doing something instead of waiting. Lucky for me the English are world champion queuers, so his patience is much better than mine.

Off to another day of waiting, watching and hoping! Good luck everyone!!

No luck yet. I've figured out that 15 business days is about July 9th from when we got our approval (June 18th). So, wishful thinking the NVC will get our papers this week, but more realistically I am expecting the NVC to get them next week.

A lot of people are complaining that there are delays at the NVC though.

Oooo, I wasn't thinking 15 business days, thanks for that. That would make July 11th 15 business days from June 20th (excluding the July 4th holiday). You're right about the delays at NVC though. We were all overjoyed at the early Feb NOA2s, but it seems like none of us have received our NVC case numbers thus far. Let's hope we'll get some feedback this week or next!! Thanks for keeping me posted.

I sure hope you're right! I must admit, I would find it exceptionally ironic and comical if British Rob got his approval a day before the 4th of July. And, of course, I'd be exceptionally elated!

It's tough, but I'm glad I have this board, because everyone's in the same boat! (It's actually the bride - me - that has to get there, in our case ... my family just wants to throw a Jack and Jill up here in Canada, because we're assuming that a lot of people won't be able to make it down to Florida for the real wedding). Yesterday, my parents and I went to check out a free concert and everything feels a little calmer now... I just have to remember to keep cool and not get too frustrated :)

Yup, I totally know exactly how you feel! We've asked our venue for a flexible date, and they're okay with it (we're actually planning for a big wedding celebration in May, with a small courthouse wedding as soon as I arrive, so that I have a few months down there where I can focus on the wedding planning outright) - but we haven't put down any deposits yet. We're trying to wait for the NOA2, and hopefully it'll come soon, because I don't want our venue to book our date for someone else!

I was just down in Florida earlier in June, so it really hasn't been THAT long since we've seen each other... but every day apart really sucks. Both of us are having trouble sleeping lately cause of the anxiety. I was saying to some other friends that this past few months since we've gotten engaged has simultaneously been the happiest and saddest of my life.

We'll be okay though, in the end... all of us :)

FYI I called the USCIS about the status of my case. Lady on the phone was pretty nice and advised me to make an info pass appointment with my local immigration office to find out more about the case. I checked their site and appointments are not permitted for case status. There goes that.
