Have you tried it on yet? (I'm guessing not, since it doesn't appear that there is David's Bridal in Russia.) If not, definitely make a trip there once you get here and try on everything in sight. I had my heart set on one particular dress myself, and when I tried it on, it was horrible. I really cannot express how much I hated that dress! Nothing else that was on my list looked too wonderful, either. The one I ended up loving was a random dress I grabbed from the rack while I was wandering around waiting for the consultant to bring me something. People insisted that I'd be really surprised by what I ended up with, and I so completely was. (And besides, trying on dresses is SO much fun.)

Which dress is it? :star:

we are thinking beach wedding, if by the time I am in USA the weather is still warm enough.. I'm attaching the picture of it, do tell me what you think  And, yes, you are totally right, and I am prepared for this dress to be ill-fitted on me.. and sooooo ready for fun time hunting for the perfect dress that I can actually try on, versus looking at pretty pictures online. post-121536-0-57123900-1330351229_thumb.jpg

We have been using Skype forever. But recently we have started having call drops - it drives us NUTS! Literally, 5 seconds of conversation and the call drops  I have been looking for alternatives and found Google Plus hangout.. It's not as easy to use as Skype, that's for sure, but I have never had a call dropped with it. The other useful feature - conference video calls are free for now. Not totally happy with it, but I have to choose between convenience and talking to my Honey without interruptions. I pick the latter any time. LOL

Another option is ooVoo. It works like Skype, can dock the sidebar so you can do other things at the same time (like I'm talking to Alan at the same time as posting this and we don't have to hide the video call behind other things) and there's free conference up to 6 people. Skype started being a drama queen for us about 6 months ago so we gave up on it and switched over to ooVoo. It's much more stable and the option to keep it docked to the sidebar is the best thing ever. We've tried Google Plus and it's kinda ok, but for us ooVoo is definitely the way to go.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Oh, that is really pretty! I hope it looks just as nice in person!

I'm hoping for Aaron to start reading/posting here at some point when he has time, so I'm not going to post my dress, but it is gorgeous. I want to wear it every day.

We use Gmail chat (with video) pretty often: it seems to work more smoothly than Skype with video. Of course, we just got disconnected and no idea what's going on, so it's not always perfect.

Hello everyone,

I noticed everyone is making wedding plans already...I am looking at dresses online but i am holding off on it for a while but i certainly know what kind i want to wear and everything...The beach wedding theme is really nice...

Nick and I started using gmail chat but since it was not bandwidth efficient, we had to look for something that was bandwidth efficient especially on my part...So Nick discovered this small application called Vsee. It is totally free, and it is also very good on bandwidth and you can adjust your video setting according to the network and everything...You can chat while video calling, share documents, pics and also you can share desktops....

Nick and I usually talk whe one of us is going to be because of the time zones and the 11 hour difference between our countries, so Vsee helped us out, we share desktops as we talk until the other falls asleep if its night and the the one who is awake turns off the other's computer and puts everything in order as the other sleeps...

Usually, I leave a note for Nick to find in the morning when he wakes up incase i can't come out to talk to him when he wakes up...and that makes our bond stronger kinda like the other is there...sometimes i even wake him up on weekends when he has no work so we can spend time together...You guys should definitely try Vsee...

Here is the link...download and install it..http://vsee.com/

It is the best thing that happened to our relationship when my honeybun discovered it...We were tired of gmail eating up all my bandwidth and we never even tried skype because of what we had heard....

Did you mail it to the Dallas lockbox or somewhere else?

OF COURSE I mailed it to the Dallas Lockbox - I've read all the instructions and guides like 15 times - I got a confirmation from USPS but not email/text hard copy - nothing! And it's been 10 since mailing and 2 business days since they received it - This is killing me - just my luck...

Hello to all the new February filers!!! Good luck!!!

I have a question - is it weird that we got our NOA1 from Vermont? o.O We didn't get any email or text that it will be forwarded or anything. We got it straight from Vermont =/

The petitions are always forwarded, either to Vermont or California as Texas is just one big "mailbox". All is good.
