There is actually a separate Case Filing and Progress Reports forum for each type of visa, and this thread is indeed located within the K-1 forum, which is (I think) why all of us tend to be K-1s. But we're very happy for amenspanglish nonetheless! (I often wander into/post in threads that have nothing to do with me, since I mainly browse VJ using the "View New Content" link and don't pay attention to whether a thread is located in, for example, the Philippines forum. So I can relate!)

I didn't even notice that it was for K1 petitioners until after you said that. With so many forums and topics on VJ, one can easily comment in any of them without realizing that.

Oh Igor, what a roller coaster you have me on (and not the good kind)! Up to 3 approvals at VSC today, you say? Oh, but one of them is from....October? Seriously? :crying: And the other is from...April? What the heck?:wacko: Um, at least maybe they'll balance each other out and not drive all the timelines crazy? (Silver lining? Please?)

I was surprised at first as well. btw I called USCIS today and I was told that everything seems fine with my case but it has not been assigned to an officer yet. So I was like: "seriously? You mean it's just sitting there waiting to be assigned?" Guess what the answer was! "Yes. They are processing petitions from early January still. The normal processing time is 7-9 months." I just said thank you and bye because I couldn't believe my ears.

Now change of focus for a while. I'm starting to get so impatient and tomorrow will be only my 4th month waiting.
