P.S. Wedding planning:

For now I am only getting ideas from everywhere. The actual wedding planning I think we will start after the NOA2. It will be a really small wedding so I hope it will not be that hard to organize it.

I am going for a backyard wedding but I am lacking a house with a backyard for now :D :D

Yes, that's kind of the approach I have in mind, but I also don't have a backyard. I'm thinking of games, a sort of modified international potluck (assign a small group of friends to make different things: not everyone bringing food), and lots of music, kids, and general cacophony. For the reception, that is.

* * *

Hey, since we're going to be here for a while, can everyone introduce him/herself? Maybe tell your name, whether you're the beneficiary or petitioner, where you live, and...hmmm, the first thing you want to show your fiancé (or see) once he/she/you get(s) to the U.S.

I guess I should start! I'm Joy, and I'm the petitioner. I live in Boston. We have a restaurant at the top of one of the tallest buildings here (52 floors up, which is nothing in NYC but very high here) where you can sit and enjoy the view over tea and cookies: I think Aaron would enjoy that! There is also a really beautiful reservoir near my apartment that has a walking path around it. I've mentioned it to him but mistakenly used the word "lake," which was hilarious because of course he lives on the edge of Lake Victoria and a 2-mile-circumference lake isn't quite the same thing: chances are we'll probably end up there first (unless it's February or something!).

Anyone else?

And this is what I get for posting in the middle of the night: I *KNEW* your username sounded familiar! Glad you made it here from the other thread where I responded to your question.

We will both share the account so it could be either me or her. haha. Hmm...I live on a golf course community. There are trails we can walk around and see some cool animals like raccoons, deers, skunks (hopefully not), etc. Looking forward to having Sunny here so we go on those walks. =)

Hello everyone!

My name is Eli. I am the beneficiary and I am from Russia. My fiancé and I have been together for a while - tomorrow is our 7th anniversary! We met while I was in USA on F-1 visa, so in the city he lives in, there is nothing he can show me because I have seen everything... but, man oh man, how I want to see HIM!!! It's been almost a month since we filed our I-129f and right now every single morning when I wake up I am thinking "when this day is over it will be one less day until we can be together".

It's nice meeting you all. I hope time flies and soon we all will be with our loved ones!

I'm Kari, the beneficiary and living in Norway. My fiance lives right outside D.C. in Virginia. We have been togheter for many many years, waiting to finally be in the same place together. The first years I stayed a lot in the US. The last few years he have spent a lot of time here. Looong story short, he was naturalizied (forgive me if the spelling is incorrect)last April. We were thinking he would move here to Norway, but then the opportunity came along and we changed our minds and decided we will be togheter in the US. I'm really excited, I have been wanting to move back to the US since I lived there for a year many years ago!

I can't describe with words how tired I am of this whole situation, it's been so many years, but I hope our time will come really soon!!

Yes we are going to use wes.org but any from this site will work - http://www.naces.org/members.htm

It's expensive - $200 or so, but I want to know what my fiancee can do here and have the eval done so I know if she needs to go back to school or anything here. She likes to be busy and I'm already afraid of leaving her home while the AOS is processed and while I am at work. I think she's going to go insane sitting around a house that long.

Thanks for the reply, I will definetly check it out!

My name's Scott and I'm the petitioner. I'm from Denver, CO. My girlfriend's name is Valentina and she's from Chisinau, Moldova. We met on the internet last year and our relationship has kind of blossomed from there.

The first thing I want to show her? She has already told me she wants to try Fried Ice Cream. So, I've been eating Mexican a lot lately trying to find a good place! Weird I know....but ice cream is her thing.

As for actual places to go, we are working on setting up some travel plans to California to see the beach and I'm sure we'll go to Vegas sometime this year or next as well. There's about a million things around Denver that I'll be showing her as well.

Hello everybody, I'm Tim and I'm the petitioner. I live in Minot, North Dakota...Air force. My fiancee is Olga, from Russia, and we met online.

I can't wait to introduce her to CHIPOTLE!!!!! Because they don;t have a lot of Mexican food in Russia, even in Moscow there is not really anything..

This wait will be long, but relationships only grow stronger. I really believe that if you can handle this process you can handle anything.

Good luck Everybody!
