Thanks! It's completely God's provision...met a guy a couple times at the church we'd been visiting, he heard I was job hunting, said I should call his wife who is a Marketing Director of an Estate Agency. I called and met her the next week. She then forwarded my resume with a personal recommendation to all the independent agents on the books of their 4 DC area market centers. One emailed me and after 3 weeks of phone interview, personality testing, reviews and meetings she's taking me on as her Executive Assistant/Operations Manager (title to be confirmed!!!)!!!

A lot of the agents are at the stage of having too much work and looking to create a team so i'm her first hire and the idea is that 80% of her workload comes to me, then as the business grows, I will take on assistants to take 80% of my work!!! It's something I would never have thought to go for and I have no experience or training but she's putting faith in my skills and abilities and I start Monday!!!!! I'm so excited, and daunted, and nervous, and overwhelmed - i'm even getting an office with walls and a door AND business cards

My advice - tell everyone you meet you are looking for work!!!

Have fun!!! Rob and I just had our family/friends wedding, which we pretty much considered to be our real wedding, since our actual wedding only included the two of us and a judge.

On an unrelated note, for those of you who came here from another country, have you been having problems with your social security number? For example, when Rob went to get a bank account, it was frozen almost immediately after getting it until we could prove his social security number is real (by going to the bank to show his SSN card). We had to do the same thing for when I filed my taxes jointly with him (I still haven't gotten my refund as a result), and we've pretty much had to follow up on anything that required a social security number. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm almost wondering if it has something to do with the fact that his name was spelled wrong when he initially got the card.

LMFAO, yup, that's exactly how I'm feeling. 21 days away for me! May the fourth be with you! (Hehe, we're having our officiant use that line as the opening of the ceremony)

I just received my EAD/AP combo card yesterday in the mail.

My greencard status reverted back to Initial Review after being in RFE Response Review since March 22... I just recently updated our address in the system, so I'm hoping that this new change hasn't set back our processing time - especially because our old address was just my father-in-law's house, so it really wasn't a big deal for mailing purposes... still receive mail easily. Blah, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Can't wait til all this wedding and house stuff is settled, so that I can finally start applying for some jobs!

No problems with the SSN as yet. I used it for my driving license and back account - although for the bank it was just getting me added on to Heather's accounts. As far as I know with Heather's taxes they went through fine and we got a little money back on them.

Nothing yet. It'll be 5 months in a few weeks. At least Rob and I are together. I don't even stress about it!
