I think for the Washington office it's looking like around 7 months. The only other thing to go on is the VJ AOS timeline, here's an example of the Washington office and some of the cases that have been updated...

Thanks for that Gavin - stupid question but how did you know that your AOS case had been transferred? And, if you haven't been notified that it's been transferred, does that mean it's still in Chicago do you think?

I can't remember how I found out mine was in Baltimore. It says on USCIS it's at NBC but I know when I called to ask about it they said it was in Baltimore, which is where I had my biometrics so i'm guessing that where you have your biometrics is where your file gets transferred...? My friend who married a Knoxvillian did all his stuff thru Nashville!! Hope that helps

The only reason I know mine is at the Washington DC office is because I called them about the EAD and queried the status of the AOS, they said it was at the Washington DC office. I didn't even think of that being 'Transferred' as I was always reading that as being sent to the California processing center, but they don't do that anymore, so I guess yes, mine was transferred to the DC office in December.

I wouldn't think yours would still be in Chicago, I would say at one of the local processing offices. You could find out the status of your AOS if you give them a call, but you may be waiting 40 minutes to talk to someone.

I concur, my biometrics was in Alexandria, VA and the processing office is a short drive away in Fairfax.

Not yet, mainly been following the ACC and been to a few games at UVA - I married into UVA (mainly football and basketball), Jets and Yankees. On the flip side, Heather married into Chelsea FC

Haha...I married into Miami Heat so it's been pretty excited recently! We're going to the game on the 10th against Washington Wizards...I got tickets for a surprise gift for Jason 3 rows back from the Heat bench and I have to admit i'm about as excited as he is now!!!

Biometrics was a breeze, but Julian still has no SS card It will be 6 weeks tomorrow and we are STILL not in the USCIS case status system. We tried to call SS center in Brooklyn when I was home sick on Monday, but all we got was the runaround and to call the local number, which doesn't seem to be local, puts you on hold and no one ever answers. I guess he's just going to have to go in and check it out in person.

SSN should come within 5 days after you visit the office. So that's definitely odd Mary!

Funny thing, after all that waiting separately, we didn't even realize that we could check our AOS case online, just like we did with the K1 haha.

So the update is that On March 4th they received our response to their RFE and we should receive a decision within 60 days. Pretty neat.

You know, waiting together is so much easier.

Hi all!

Finally got a NOA 1 date for our AOS, March 18. I had to resend everything because I signed the wrong signature box for my sons I-485. Also got an appointment for biometrics for next week but did a walk-in two days ago. That was a breeze, in and out in 25 minutes. Our cases says initial review on the USCIS site except my I-485 says acceptance....

On the USCIS site it says that our case is being processed at the National Benefits Center. Or will it be transferred later?

So finally got my drivers license! That feels great.

Ours is MSC also. Not sure why it wouldn't be online tho...have you called USCIS to check your status? Maybe call and ask them about checking online
