Are any of you tracking your cases on USCIS Case update? I keep entering our numbers for the 485/EAP/AP, but it's STILL saying case not found, even though NOA1 was 3 weeks or so ago.

Also, what was the average wait time for the SS card. Julian went in about 3 weeks after he arrived (approx 2/20/13) and we still don't have a number. What was your wait times?

My wife got her SSN in about one month. She filed in New Jersey.

I saw on the USCIS site that they are taking 30-45 days to update case statuses for new submissions, so that could definitely be why you aren't seeing an update on the website. I'd say keep checking over the next few weeks. As long as you have that NOA1, you have a case number, even if it isn't showing up.

As for the SSN, Rob's took about a week to get after the application, but because of a spelling error, we had to go back and get him a new one, and that one took two weeks to arrive. It took 4 weeks for some people on the AOS boards, so Julian will hopefully get his card soon.

I finally have a NOA for my EAD having had to resubmit it. Out of curiosity, as I know some people have to do more than one in the past, how many biometric appointments have y'all had to do? I've had one for AOS, so I was just wondering if I'd have to do another for EAD.

I received my SS card and have insured my car will do the emissions testing and then registration.. Can't wait to get out and explore some more.

Well it's about time! We only had to do one biometric though we only submitted one application. I can't imagine they will make you do another biometric!

I think you just have to do one. I think the information/fingerprints they get from the biometrics probably goes in the same database for both AOS and EAD. Glad to hear you finally got the NOA1!

I think for the Washington office it's looking like around 7 months. The only other thing to go on is the VJ AOS timeline, here's an example of the Washington office and some of the cases that have been updated...
