I think you'll have the card within a week or two, so I would think you would be fine looking for jobs now. It is up to the employer if they take you on before your card arrives - If you want to be completely safe though, wait for the card.

Thanks for the advice :-) another update came thru today saying it's been mailed so yeah I'm just gonna wait. We're going away for the holiday wknd anyway...might even be waiting for me when we get home!!

Just got the email from USCIS that my I-765, and I-131 have been approved. Now only 2 more to go....

Congrats to all those getting EAD this week. Such a positive move. I checked the USCIS website to see if there was an update and there was... but just to say my name has been updated today. No idea what that means lol. I guess I'm back to checking daily to see if there are any further updates.

Another update! USPS have picked my EA card and I have a tracking number...expected delivery date is 2/19...a year to the day after Jason proposed!!

Hey all, Julian and I were married on the 8th, things have been great! He went to get his SS# this week and the AOS paperwork is going out in the mail tomorrow. For those who are ahead, I see some have had their Work and Travel approved. How did it take for you all? Just trying to get an idea of when he can get to work, I know he is eager.

That shawl is GORGEOUS, Mary! What a nice picture! Congrats!

EAD/AP seemed to go pretty fast for Rob. I think it was approved in something like 55 days, and we probably have another week or so before the card comes (I hope). If you guys file tomorrow, he would hopefully get his approval by mid-April or so. The average with a lot of VJ'ers seems to be around 60 days for EAD/AP approval. Don't forget to submit a total of six passport photos- you need two for AOS, two for EAD, and two for AP. As for AOS, I have no idea how long that will take. There hasn't been any movement on our AOS since it was received in late December.

Beautiful, Mary! I'm so happy for you guys!!

We got an RFE in the mail yesterday. I was so hyped, thinking it was an appointment letter... instead, they sent an RFE saying that we meet the 125% poverty guideline, but we didn't send enough proof of it... so we have to send Tom's most recent IRS statement, a letter from his employer, and the last 6 months of pay stubs.

I thought for sure, we would get an RFE for my medical, because in Toronto, and at the border, no one gave me a copy of my immunization record (at the border, they said it would be fine, because they would have the entire packet when we submitted our AOS - which is odd, because they have all the IRS forms and the previous letter from employer in that packet too...)

Oh well... I guess it's hopefully just going to be a minor setback.
