Yes, as long as you file AP and EAD with AOS, it is only one price. As for the A number, it will be on his visa on the bottom right hand side. It should also be handwritten on his I-94, which is stapled in his passport. It will start with A on the visa. The control number is the other number (the one in red) on the visa.

Do we have separate receipt numbers for the petitions in our AOS packet. I just received 4 emails from wherever the receipts are done with 4 separate numbers. I also have a pending I-102 with them so I'm thinking each has their own?

Each has their own and checking case status on USCIS is not that good as it takes ages before some case numbers even appear on this service. When you get the NOA's in the post, it'll say on each one what it is for.

Haven't been on here for ages.

We've just been chilling after our wedding and our Honeymoon. Today we have a AOS day. Basically all is ready and we just need to double check all paper work. We registered at Macy's but also wrote on the wedding invite that any help with the AOS costs will be greatly appreciated. Can't believe how many people gave a cheque instead of a present.

Started volunteering at a job with a prospect of a paid job once my EAD is approved. Things are working out very smoothly. Pretty stoked!

Coming back from the wedding and honeymoon to here, where it all started

Today, we got a certified copy of our marriage license and are now preparing the AOS package. Just to make sure that I have understood it correctly:

Am I correct that "As long as the medical is done within the last year, K1 visa holders filing for AOS do not need to have another medical check for their AOS. But they still need to have their vaccination record to be written on I-693 by a civil surgeon". This is all my understanding from the VJ guides and I-693 form instructions, but I have seen people filing their AOS without sending the I-693. Is this related to "vaccination records may get lost from K1 visa holders applications when sent from CBP officer to USCIS"? In other words, did you guys sent just a copy of your vaccination (DS-3025) done for the embassy with your AOS package or you also went to a civil surgeon in US to fill out the I-693 form?

I just sent a copy of my DS-3025. Is your DS-3025 marked as complete? If so, that should be good enough. Mine was marked as incomplete, but had a waiver consideration for chickenpox as I had already had it. I decided to send it as is, if I get an RFE it's only a slight delay.

I and my wife went to the Social Security office and apply for one - we got the card. The officer in charge told us that she still has to use her maiden name. He said use the new name (my last name) for all green card application and go back here (to SS office) to change it and get a new card issued. Ok, that's fine.

Now, how do I go about which names to use for my health insurance and other insurance, bank account? what name should I use for her? This is too confusing. please help.

Gavin / Heather, I don't have a copy of the medical stuff I don't think, how did you get a copy of your DS-3025? I just filled in the vaccination record on the medical form myself and attached copies of the pages in my vaccination record booklet. I am sooooooo expecting RFEs all over the place

You should use her married name, when you go to sort out the bank account you will need the marriage certificate, her passport and driving license and SSN - At least when we sorted out our bank account they needed 2 forms of ID for me.

When I had my medical in London, after the x-ray I talked to the doctor showed her the vaccination history I had from my GP. She had and filled out the DS-3025 form and photocopied it and gave me a copy, she said I'd need it for AOS. The original was sent to the embassy. At the embassy they gave me the CD/DVD that has my xray on it. A DS-3025 would have been filled in for you when you had your medical, I guess they forgot to give you a copy?

For AOS, I only sent in the DS-3025 form, I kept the CD/DVD for the time being as I don't have copies and it wasn't asked for.

Use her new married name on the health insurance and bank accounts. Your marriage license will be used to verify that.
