I love our group these days! Joy, what a wonderful picture of Aaron! I'm happy for you two and glad to hear the POE went well, even though it took a long time.

Michel and Kim, I love your picture! Many congrats to you on your wedding!

Ermina, congrats on the visa and the upcoming POE. You must be beside yourself with excitement!

Mary, I hope that the documents get to Julian soon and you guys are able to move on with everything. I'm really sorry that you are stuck in this place in the process. We're all here for you if you need us.

Rob and I got married yesterday at the courthouse. It was just us, as our big wedding isn't until April. We had a nice day, where we both got dressed up, then went out to a nice lunch. It was perfect, although I am admittedly looking forward to wearing my wedding dress and the big party.

And to all of you, since it is Thanksgiving and all, I wanted to say how thankful I am for all of you. Rob and I could not have gotten through this process without the February filers. Happy Turkey day!

Oh, this is SO beautiful!! I love Kim's dress so much! :)

Tom and I are getting really excited. He'll be here in just a little over a week. We booked our officiant, who will do both our "small" wedding in January, and our big friends & family wedding in May. Yesterday, I bought a dress for the small wedding (I actually bought two different dresses just in case one doesn't fit, so I now have 3 wedding dresses to my name... LOL - I figure I can wear the other one to the rehearsal dinner, or just return it)... and I'm slowly getting everything in order here (lots of doctor's appointments while I still have free healthcare, meetings with insurance agents/accountant/bank/etc). If all goes well, POE will be Dec. 20 (I'll be driving down with my parents), and the legal wedding will be January 1 :)

Hey guys...quick question...we were told in Hawaii that our wedding cerficate could take a couple of months to arrive, however we could go online and print our temporary one which we have done. Any idea if that will do for the AOS??? Anyone else had this or is it just Hawaii time we're dealing with!!!

I *think* it has to be a certified copy, but hopefully someone else can chime in with a more definitive response!

You shouldn't have to! Gav arrived on Oct. 12, we applied for his SSN on Oct. 19 (to give his entry enough time to appear on the system), and we got married on Oct. 27. His card came quickly -- on the 26th or 29th.

Don't mean to scare you. I was married in Hawaii in March 2011. Got the original marriage certificate in August 2011 after ordering it 3 times.. It's Hawaiian time.

As for the temp one online - I'm really not sure, but I'd be surprised if they accepted a print-out. We didn't file until a year later.

Part 1 - Family Name - I put my married name right?

"A#" - Is this the "Annotation" number on the VISA in my passport?

Part 3 - Nonimmigrant Visa Number - is this the "Control Number" on the VISA?

Part 5 - I sign my married name right?!

took social security it will come in the mail took marriage license yesterday and will go marry at court (prob going to have a wedding later) so when that comes or while its coming im going to be filing out the aos ,ead, and permit to leave and come back!!!

so i have a questions i know i mail it together but do i mail it in the same evelope and everything on 1 check like the total which is like 2000 something dollars???? can someone message me the answer please!!

Is Dec 18 . Well I'm happy for all the safe poe and wedding
