We didn't need my x-ray at the airport so I still have that! They gave out cards on the plane and I filled it in but the i-94 was a different form so I completed that at the desk - I think Gavin did the same thing. It takes a few minutes but isn't an issue :D

That I did, D'oh!. So no problems if you don't do it on the plane. What you need at POE is the un-opened packet from the embassy, the visa (I guess normally stuck on a page in the passport, mine was), the passport and the I-94 can be done there.

What the immigration officer does, from my experience.

- Opens the pack and checks through the forms.

- Checks the visa in the passport. Over the "Entries 1" section on the visa he wrote a zero and put a line through it.

- He checked my customs form and asked the basic customs questions.

- Basic immigration officer checks/questions, finger prints/where are you staying etc

- Staples part of the I-94 to a page in the passport.

- Stamps the passport for the entry and writes K1 and the expiry date (90 days from POE)

I also had some general chit chat where I found out the immigration officer's anniversary was the same as our wedding date!

Finally put together our AOS paper work and posted it off today. For the K1 we used an attorney, for AOS we have decided to do this ourselves. We will let you know how it goes.

Aaron traveled back to Nairobi yesterday to pick up his passport in preparation for his flight on Monday, and his brother-in-law just emailed me a photo of the K-1 visa. It may be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. :dance: :dance: :dance:

Sept. 16, 2020: interview, Boston (approved)

Sept. 24, 2020: oath ceremony, Boston---DONE!!! (279 days from submission)
