Great news coming through this thread (minus Cori who has the plague LOL ) ... I love it!!

I booked Tom's flight to come up for our interview. I will be seeing him in 32 days, and the interview is in Montreal, in 35 days! Medical in a little less than 2 weeks now. It's exciting now that it's all moving forward Now if only someone would buy my condo, we'd be set!

Yep :/ Unfortunately. She didn't want to let me out of the contract... but she gave me a big speech about how she's working for me, and to leave the worrying to her, and all that jazz. We might consider lowering the price soon... but I don't want to go too low, because I did a lot of renos in here when I bought the place, and I want to at least break even after all that is considered. Probably would've been better if I could've hung onto the place for a few more years, but alas... love struck

That's correct, 1-2 weeks. We decided to go after a week to see if they had me on the system and they did. So I landed Friday 12th, applied at the SSN office the following Friday 19th, received my SSN card Friday 26th

Wow, congrats so let's hope my fiancee's record be in the system in a week good news is, they don't require SSN for marriage license in our county

So I entered IAD last Tuesday, I couldn't feel more welcome than this time!

A day after sandy hit the east coast there was no line at all at customs and I was the first to arrive at the non US citizens line. A friendly officer helped me who seemed to be very excited about us getting married. She checked everything quickly and asked some questions. After that she told me I have to go to desk B just to let them double check all the paperwork but that I'm good. 2nd officer was as nice as the first one. He just checked the paperwork and called me to his desk to say: welcome to America and Congratulations!

I'm here now a week, finally over my jet lag and all stress relief. Wedding is this Saturday. I can't believe it's finally here!

That's great news! Enjoy the next week and all the best for Saturday...Lord willing, my passport will be back from the embassy and i'll be stateside on Friday and we'll be getting married on Sunday!!
