Well it's Sunday night... I had my interview a week ago... on the back of other visas taking 7 days to be delivered, I expected mine to arrive on Friday. It didn't :(

I tried to track it from Wednesday, it said the number I entered didn't match their records. It still says that - I'm assuming that's because the courier didn't receive it yet...

I called the courier every day from Weds to Sat and still I haven't talked to a human being. I called the embassy twice who tell me there is no facility to track the process of a visa at the embassy and I have to wait untl the courier has it. So tomorrow is Monday and we have 6 days left before we are due to travel. My fiancé arrives in the UK on Wednesday morning.

I'm happy to see him - we haven't seen each other since July - but I am so stressed. I finished work last Friday, I have a mountain to pack and all I can thhink about its when will the visa and passport arrive. Right now I have no travel documents :(

Phone the DOS as they can tell you if the visa has been issued, once it's issued the courier should have it 2 days later, then they deliver the day after. There is a phone number to talk to someone at the courier place, but I can't remember it - it took a bit of google searching, but that's no good at the moment, because they don't have the package yet.

Ohhh man. I had a major hiccup with my real estate agent this weekend and I AM PISSED.

We were supposed to have an open house on Saturday, so I spent ALL DAY Friday cleaning and organizing, and even had my mom take time off work to help me out (I have Friday's off anyway). She texted me Friday afternoon to say she wanted to switch it to Sunday because the weather was going to be nicer. Okay fine. I thought that was odd, because I was sure she would have advertised, but I guess it's possible to change it quickly.

Sunday comes around - I text her at 10:30 asking when she was planning on coming over and what time she wanted me to leave the house. Woke up super early to make sure everything was tidy and swept, etc again (after going to bed at 2am, cause I had a wedding on Saturday night). She doesn't text back until 11:30, and at that point, she doesn't answer my question, but instead asks me if other agents usually put up signs around the neighbourhood for open houses. I'm just thinking ... #######. Of course they put up signs, and it's 11:30 and you still haven't even PREPARED them? For a 2pm Open House?! 1pm, no word from her. I start getting antsy (on the verge of another panic attack, I could feel it) - my mom called and left her a voicemail. Around 1:30, she called my mom back. 1:45, she's still not at my apartment. 2PM ROLLS AROUND - SHE'S STILL NOT HERE! At this point, I was freaking out. I sent her a text saying "It's 2pm, shouldn't you be here?"

She FINALLY showed up at 2:25. I left the house at that point, because she didn't want me to be around anyway (and I hadn't eaten anything because I didn't want to mess up the kitchen!) - when I drove the streets of the neighbourhood, there were NO SIGNS OUT AT ALL. She said she'd text me when she wanted me to come home, because sometimes people come in at the last minute. At 4:30, I still hadn't heard from her, so I asked if anyone had been by to see the house. At 5pm she finally texted me back saying "No. I'm leaving now." #######!!!

I texted her back saying "Okay. I'm pretty upset about that, just so you know..." And she didn't even respond to it.

I'm SO angry, I feel like we made the wrong choice in agent (she was a friend of mine from elementary/high school, and she was always sending me promo material, and was kind of upset when I didn't use her to BUY my condo a few years ago, so I thought I'd give her the chance this time). I don't even know if we can get out of the contract at this point, and if not, we're stuck with her until January. I don't even know what to do if she doesn't sell this place. I can't afford to pay the maintenance on it while I'm in FL and not working - money will run out pretty quickly at that point.

So. Upset. :(

So sorry to hear this. I hope things get sorted out, if she hasn't met the service that was outlined in the contract she must be in breach of it anyway. I guess you'll need to say what you're expecting of her and what her contract says and go from there. Not that I know much about law, but contracts are two way and it sounds like she has failed on her part.

I agree.

Have you contacted DOS yet? I just wondered if they told you the status of the visa?

Yeah, I was just re-reading a copy of the contract online, and I found the place to submit complaints. Hopefully they will just voluntarily dissolve the contract - but if not, I will be in for yet ANOTHER battle, it seems.

I can't deal with this on top of everything else LOL... I just want to wake up and have it be Christmas in FLORIDA.

Well that was a little stressful.. BUT Visa granted. We pick it up at the Consulate on Thursday. So now we find our flights and book them for Thursday night. Wedding at City Hall Friday afternoon. Won't be feeling my perky self but it will be nice to be there...

Hope everyone else had a good interview.

hugs to all

She is either a complete bimbo or a ###### harbouring a grudge from years ago when you bought your condo. To ask you on Sunday about posters...#######? You don't need the extra aggravation. Get out of the contract ASAP (in my opinion)
