Is anyone getting super antsy, now that we are all so close, I can barely contain myself. I just CAN'T WAIT!!!! shocked.gif

AAAAAAH!!! Most definitely!!!

And about booking the ticket before our interview result... I don't know. I think we freaked out enough about the whole process while not really necessary. There is really no reason why we wouldn't get approved. Kim and I love each other, we filled everything out perfectly fine so we stopped worrying. Mostly because there is just no question about the validity of our papers. I think in the last year we've spent far to much time wondering if everything went right and after we got the forms and so back, everything was just fine. The stress must be because of such extremely big things happening to all of us. We're leaving our friends, getting married, dedicating our lives in a completely different way. We must be ####### about things but really, I truly believe that if we fill out everything truthfully and in our best knowledge, nothing really can't go wrong.

Of course I've heard the horror stories here on visajourney and I feel for them a lot. Not trying to nullify their story whatsoever!

I know what you mean. I feel confident that Rob will get the visa no problem, but those VJ horror stories are a little scary. We're not booking flights until he gets his visa.

I'm a little bummed. Rob and I were planning for him to come here on October 26th, but due to some work commitments that have come up, I likely won't be able to take any time off until mid-November. I guess he can still come in October, but I haven't seen him since January, and I was really hoping to have time off for at least the first week of him being here. What to do...

Well fellow Feb filers finally after 7 months one day we got approved. Its hard to believe its here. Thanks to all who pulled for us. Now the next hurdle, Warsaw Embassy changed the rules and someone must go to Poland and pay in cash at a Polish bank the visa fee to get a interview date. Tanya is trying to find someone who goes Belarus-Poland often that will help with this. If not she has to get a visa to enter Poland which takes about 3 weeks then a 12 hour train ride over night and 12 hours back. Then a new visa to reenter Poland for the interview. Its a lot of expense for something other counties can pay online. Our American Government at its best

I am SO pleased to hear you've been approved! I can't believe the bureaucracy in paying in Poland though, wow! What an awful hassle!!

*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhh*

my interview is still SO. FAR. AWAY.

My wait from NOA2 - Interview is almost as long as NOA1 - NOA2! Damn Montreal.

I guess it's a blessing in disguise, because I still need time to get my condo sold, and my wedding dress is going to be ready in December, so I probably couldn't cross before then anyway. But It's So. Far. Away.......

Just got home from my medical appointment in London. Thanks to everyone posting here, it wasn't so bad because I knew what to expect. The doctors are lovely and really try to put you at your ease. So one less thing to do.... really hoping for an October interview so we can keep the date we've set for our wedding. I'm not assuming though - everything we've planned out this year has been flexible. Our wedding is fast becoming a 'moveable' feast :D

If all goes to plan though, we will share a wedding day with Michel and Kim

Thank you very much. We got some clarification on the visa fee. It seems we will only have to go one time to Poland but have to stay 4 days and will have her visa. Keep your fingers crossed pls.

But...even if there's no reason you wouldn't get approved, you love each other, you filled everything out perfectly fine and truthfully and in your best knowledge, there is just no question about the validity of your papers, etc. etc., having a difficult consulate means you still have to worry and worry and worry and plenty really can go wrong. That was what I was getting at. I'm terrified. If we were going through a European embassy, I probably *would* buy a ticket to save money, but if anyone wants to be horrified and scared (for me, not for yourselves), check out the Nairobi embassy thread.

Still, at least it's not, say, Lagos or Guayaquil. And at least I have the visit to focus on! 27 days!

It's so exciting that some of the February beneficiaries are really close to being on their way over! I can't believe how long we've all been at this: it's been a long, strange ride, but I'm glad to have been in this boat with all of you. May we all make it safely ashore (and soon!).
