Any February 2012 filers?

Well I decided to call teir 2 back today to put in a second service request and the supervisor was looking at my file and told me that I was on an administrative hold for backgrounds which usually means someone has a criminal background. I told her I was in the military with a security clearance and she put in a different request to expedite my case. She said in five days I should get a response or an approval. She said someone made a big mistake and apologized for such a long wait to get the NOA2.

Good for you. I'm pulling for you for a speedy approval...

Hey your not alone, tomorrow will be 7 months and nothing!!!Not even a RFE!!! Then I found out last night that the embassy has changed the rules. My fiancee is from Belarus and must use the Warsaw Poland Embassy. She lives about 400 miles from the Polish/Belarus border. Now she must go to Poland and pay the Visa fee in cash at a Polish Bank and then we can get a interview date. She must get a visa to go to Poland and then return home and get a second visa to go back to the interview. Our US Government has really screwed up my love life. I have an appointment in the morning with my congressman, but have been told there is nothing he can do about the embassy. Anyone have any ideas how to pay this without me flying to Poland??

I guess we will have to just keep plugging along and hope we don't get an RFE((((

I'm sure you will hear something soon. I was just about at 7 months when I got my RFE, though hopefully you won't get one. I don't understand why some cases take so much longer than other or get put on the back burner. There's no method to VSC madness. As far as the rest goes... can you not mail a check or money order? That sounds crazy. I wonder if my fiance will have to travel to London to pay his... Does everyone have to go pay it in person?

Thanks for the input and rooten for us. I spent hours this morning with the Warsaw embassy and the State Department. And there is no way around paying in cash in a bank in Poland, no credit card or checks. We are trying to find out if there is some kind of service in Poland that will pay this for us. This was just started in August this year and is stupid beyond belief. The lady in the State Department almost called me a liar until she read the Embassy web site and then made the comment "this can't be true" Well it seems to be and I hope someone out there will have a solution for this, we have waited long enough. But if all else fails I'll fly to Poland a pay it myself. Ron

Congrats to you and everyone with interview dates. I know we have to wait a bit longer, but it's nothing now compared to the long pre-NOA2 wait. So I'll be patient!

Yeah, I did mention in the covering letter that we wanted Oct 6th for the wedding, that wont happen now, but it may have swayed them. What time does Rob have, 8:30? They all seem to be 8:30 from what I have read. It's great news that so many of us will be with our other halves soon Still feeling for the people waiting NOA2s, that's an awful feeling and the wait is far to long for them!

Rob's interview is 9:00, so still pretty early. He just paid for the interview and got packet 4 today, so now we wait!

Yay! I feel a lot better now that I can hold that letter in my hand! Only a few waits left, for the day, for getting into the embassy, for being called up, for the passport/visa to be delivered, then the flight

I'll know this weekend when I'll be booking the flight for, it'll be 12th or 13th October

So sorry about all this, it's beyond ridiculous!!!

I'm from Norway and we have to go to Sweden for the interview. I just payed for one night in a hotel and flights and have to take two days leave from work and I live about a 30 minute drive from the American Embassy in Oslo......... But not complaining now when I read about your situation...

At least I can go to a bank here in Norway and pay the visa fee to the swedish bank with an international transfer....they need to make this happen for you guys!!
