13 days since VSC received my RFE Response and still counting.

:( In 3 days it will be a month since they received my RFE and I STILL haven't heard anything. They sure are taking their time. You should come to the March Filers thread if you haven't already. I just started posting in there last night. It's nice to have people to talk to that are where you are at. Sadly, I don't feel like I have much in common with most of this thread anymore... While I'm happy for everyone it's hard not to feel even more depressed listening to everyone talk about their interview dates and packets and such. I feel a lot better since talking to folks in the other thread though; as they say, misery loves company! Just a thought.

I know how you feel I just keep getting the same old story that backgrounds is pending. I cant understand that when I have a security clearance but it just means my file has been lost or put to the side.

Wow!! That's super fast!

Are you going to be able to do the medical before then?

Cool, that's fast! Although I guess they wont issue the visa until the medical is done. Do you have a date for that yet?

Luckily for us, in Seoul, the medical is walk-in, so you can pretty much get that done any time. And, it seems like, from reading your guys' posts, that for England you have to send in your medical beforehand and receive acknowledgement that it's been received? In Korea, you just bring it with you. So we've saved a lot of time on both of those fronts. I'm still really nervous about how it'll all turn out!!

For all of those waiting on NOA2s still. Hang in there! It'll be over soon and it'll all be worth it in the end!

2/25/2012 - I-129F sent

2/29/2012 - Email notification of NOA1

9/06/2012 - NOA2!!!! Oh yeah!!!

9/13/2012 - Arrival at NVC

9/17/2012 - Sent to Consulate in Seoul, Korea

9/23/2012 - Packet 3 email received

9/28/2012 - Interview Date!

9/28/2012 - Approved!

10/17/2012 - Planned POE

I have no idea what's taking so long with ours beyond the basic RFE. Even the supervisor I talked to was no help what so ever... I think I'm in the same boat as you, set aside.

I e-mailed the embassy last night asking if they received back packet 3. This morning I got an a-mail with instructions and interview date. October 4 at 9 am. WOW! Super fast! And while my fiance is here:) I can't believe we are finally at this stage.

So now I have to look for flights to Stockholm, Sweden for next week. Good thing my boss could give me a couple of days of at a short notice!

Congratulations to all the other interview dates and progress:)

Yay, congrats :)

Ah, that's cool. Yep, for the UK we have the medical and the doctors send the medical results to the embassy. So we don't see the results until the interview or after. Granted the doc did say that all was fine, just the blood test and x-ray they had to wait on for a couple of days.

My apologies if you already posted before, but what was your RFE for?

They said they wanted additional proof we had meet in the last two years. Basically, I hadn't photocopied our passport stamps, and I think that was the real issue. Seems like such a simple thing that they would have approved it quickly. I guess not though... The USCIS supervisor said that when you get an RFE all processing on your petition stops and you go back into holding. I don't understand that. I read a thread from an old uscis agent that said the ones which are sent out for RFE stayed on her desk until they were returned and she handled them first thing when they were returned. That is clearly not the case.

That's just awful. Yeah, looking at others that had RFEs similar to yours, it seemed like NOA2s came relatively quickly afterwards. Hang in there! You're almost there!

Sheesh. I'm really sorry for those of you who are still waiting for the NOA2. That's just not okay that you guys are still waiting. Even VSC, which has been really slow, is working on March. I really hope you guys will get your approvals soon.

Gavin and KT, congrats on your interview dates! Gavin, I can't believe how soon yours is! That's pretty fantastic! And KT, hopefully you can move yours up, but even if you can't, my fingers are crossed that you'll be in the US before Christmas.

Rob's looking at train times. He lives about 2 hours from London, so he's definitely going to have an early start on the interview date. I'm just looking forward to waking up on October 11th to him saying he's approved.

Yeah, I did mention in the covering letter that we wanted Oct 6th for the wedding, that wont happen now, but it may have swayed them. What time does Rob have, 8:30? They all seem to be 8:30 from what I have read. It's great news that so many of us will be with our other halves soon :) Still feeling for the people waiting NOA2s, that's an awful feeling and the wait is far to long for them!

Hey your not alone, tomorrow will be 7 months and nothing!!!Not even a RFE!!! Then I found out last night that the embassy has changed the rules. My fiancee is from Belarus and must use the Warsaw Poland Embassy. She lives about 400 miles from the Polish/Belarus border. Now she must go to Poland and pay the Visa fee in cash at a Polish Bank and then we can get a interview date. She must get a visa to go to Poland and then return home and get a second visa to go back to the interview. Our US Government has really screwed up my love life. I have an appointment in the morning with my congressman, but have been told there is nothing he can do about the embassy. Anyone have any ideas how to pay this without me flying to Poland??

I guess we will have to just keep plugging along and hope we don't get an RFE((((

Well I decided to call teir 2 back today to put in a second service request and the supervisor was looking at my file and told me that I was on an administrative hold for backgrounds which usually means someone has a criminal background. I told her I was in the military with a security clearance and she put in a different request to expedite my case. She said in five days I should get a response or an approval. She said someone made a big mistake and apologized for such a long wait to get the NOA2.
