Gavin...have you called the embassy today?? I called this morning and they confirmed that our case was updated yesterday and that my interview IS November 1st and that packet 4 should have been sent out yesterday

I know it would be awesome to have it earlier but it's actually perfect timing for us

Yep and they did confirm. I decided to pay on Friday for the visa, just so that it was done - I don't know if that influenced the date at all, I know I was very accommodating and stressed that I can come at any time for the interview :)

I'm happy that some of us have our interviews set and we'll start seeing approvals soon, happier still when others progress to this point too!

WOW that's AWESOME!!! So quick! I have no idea how they assign the dates but I trust that they are right for each individual! I have to admit I get a bit of a "that's not fair" feeling when people get it way earlier than me but I KNOW that Nov 1st is perfect for us...with realizing the mid 2 weeks in Nov would be ideal for Jason to be off work, any earlier an interview would add complications and the temptation for me to go over earlier and we don't want to stay together before going to get married. This way it will just be go go go!!!!! God knew the perfect day for us

We were aiming for an October 6th wedding, I did say this in my covering letter, now I think it will be October 27th. So I will probably be there for a couple of weeks getting settled in and sorting out our IT setup and doing little bits in the apartment - it also gives us time to go out shopping for a sofa, the main missing piece in the apartment :)

It is :D!!! Sounds awesome and definitely an educational trip ;) I do feel blessed to be so close to London, having to travel long distances to the embassy would caused me some issues with scheduling with work.

Well when I spoke to DOS yesterday, they gave us an interview date and time. I spoke to Heather, to let her know, much excitement and happiness. Although we've both read so many things we didn't want to count our chickens, so wanted to wait for the letter. I spoke to the embassy this morning and they confirmed the interview and said the letter was sent out yesterday :D

Really happy right now, but it's difficult at work. My friend (and best man for our May wedding) is about to have a couple of weeks off when his girlfriend gives birth to their first baby :) Which could also be the same time that I'm jumping on a plane. Many discussions to be had, but I'm hoping to fly out to Heather on October 12th :D

Oh yes, interview date is October 4th! Excited and nervous, after all this time in this process I don't want to stuff up the interview! I know it should be straight forward, but it means so much that the nerves are jangling :P

Awesome Gavin... you give me hope! :)

Hi everyone! It's just been a whirlwind since the NOA2! Just wanted to post a quick update. So we were getting a bit frustrated after everything because even though the NVC processing happened very quickly for us, it was looking like we'd have to wait two to three months for an interview at the seoul consulate. Lindsey and I started talking about her coming to stay on a tourist visa for a while and waiting here and then traveling back just to complete the interview and were weighing several different options. We even scheduled our interview date online right when we received the case number, but had the request rejected b/c the consulate hadn't received our application yet. Just when we were getting to the height of frustration, we received the email for Packet 3 on Monday and Lindsey happened to check online and a date for Sept 28th popped up! We figure someone must have canceled? So yesterday, I spent the day scrambling to put all of my materials together for the support affidavit, proof of continuing relationship, etc, and sent it all off by Fedex. And Lindsey's going to her interview this Friday! Insane, isn't it? Packet 3 received on Monday - Interview Friday. We may set a visajourney record!

2/25/2012 - I-129F sent

2/29/2012 - Email notification of NOA1

9/06/2012 - NOA2!!!! Oh yeah!!!

9/13/2012 - Arrival at NVC

9/17/2012 - Sent to Consulate in Seoul, Korea

9/23/2012 - Packet 3 email received

9/28/2012 - Interview Date!

9/28/2012 - Approved!

10/17/2012 - Planned POE

Wow, that's like far ahead! As far as I know you'll get your visa the same week, so you could technically fly home around December 11th and get married the 12th :D

LOL that *would* be awesome, but I'm not holding out too much hope for it. I've read some stuff about Montreal taking a couple of weeks to mail back the passport. I would LOVE to get married on 12/12/12, but really, I'm most anxious to get there to spend Christmas with Tom :)

Glad you have a date, but it is a bit far off! See if you can request it being brought forward, I've read of others doing that.

I think the only way we can move it forward is if someone else cancels their interview and I'm able to snag it. Montreal is notoriously slow, so I was sort of prepared for a long wait. Oh well.... :/

Are you going to be able to do the medical before then?

Cool, that's fast! Although I guess they wont issue the visa until the medical is done. Do you have a date for that yet?

Well I'm hoping they bring if forward for you, I know that being together is more important than the wedding date at this point - when the waiting is finally over with! :) I know there's waiting for AOS, but at least at that stage we are with our partners :)

It's very exciting, I'm worrying about getting everything done in time for flying out. In reality, I know there's not much left to do, it's just trying to think of things I may have forgotten :P

Wow it really has been quite dead lately for the remaining NOA2 approvals it seems like they will never come for us.

Feeling the people still waiting. Have you put in a service request? CSC was pretty quick, I know they've slowed down, it's definitely worth calling them now.

I e-mailed the embassy last night asking if they received back packet 3. This morning I got an a-mail with instructions and interview date. October 4 at 9 am. WOW! Super fast! And while my fiance is here:) I can't believe we are finally at this stage.

So now I have to look for flights to Stockholm, Sweden for next week. Good thing my boss could give me a couple of days of at a short notice!

Congratulations to all the other interview dates and progress:)

Feeling the people still waiting. Have you put in a service request? CSC was pretty quick, I know they've slowed down, it's definitely worth calling them now.

I had a service request and they said backgrounds was pending and i also have a congressional inquiry.. now at 218 days for CSC

Sheesh. I'm really sorry for those of you who are still waiting for the NOA2. That's just not okay that you guys are still waiting. Even VSC, which has been really slow, is working on March. I really hope you guys will get your approvals soon.

Gavin and KT, congrats on your interview dates! Gavin, I can't believe how soon yours is! That's pretty fantastic! And KT, hopefully you can move yours up, but even if you can't, my fingers are crossed that you'll be in the US before Christmas.

Rob's looking at train times. He lives about 2 hours from London, so he's definitely going to have an early start on the interview date. I'm just looking forward to waking up on October 11th to him saying he's approved.
