YAY!!! I just called the embassy and was informed that our forms were processed on the 18th and that we should hear within 3 weeks when our interview will be!!

Yes we did and also included in the cover letter that we'd be ready for an interview at the shortest notice since my fiancée already has all the documents ready to go....I'm so excited right now I can't hide it

Cool, I also said the same in the cover letter. We just haven't decided on the date of our first wedding yet, so I didn't put that in - I know that makes a difference.

I bought my plane ticket last night to go over there for his interview!

It feels wonderful that I actually know when I'm going to see Aaron: Oct. 25!!! We're going to spend some time with his family (both his cousin's folks in central Uganda and his own people in eastern Uganda: new photos for the interview...) before heading to Kenya for his medical exam, after which I'll fly out from Nairobi.

Plus I tacked on a few days on the way back to stop in and visit the family I au paired for in 2003. I'm connecting through Amsterdam, and it actually costs the same thing for the ticket with or without the extra stop, so why not? I haven't been to visit them since I started going to Uganda every chance I get--2009, I think? The little 4.5-year-old I took care of is 14(!) now.

Yay Joy! That's so exciting!

And so sweet that you'll be seeing the family, 10 years later! Amazing how time flies, when you think about it like that. 2003 seems like it was a year or two ago! haha.

Wow, with all these UK interviews, I might call DOS again today! I have heard that if you put a sooner wedding date, London will sometimes try to accommodate that. I didn't put an exact date on my cover page, so I might not be a priority. It would be nice for Rob to get the date at least. We're back to waiting... and waiting... and waiting....

We're a good way behind you but I called the embassy yesterday who had nothing to report yet... he told me it can take 3 weeks to update the system after NVC! What's with this 3 weeks? It sounds like a magic number! So we bit the bullet and called the DOS number this afternoon who confirmed that London had the elctronic file but hadn't logged in the hard copy file yet. He, along with his dad, and our friend/bridesmaid, are coming up for our Jack and Jill shower on Friday. So so so so so so so excited!!! They're only staying for 4 days, but it's been 3 months since I've seen him (and at least 2 of those months were spent with me being all depressed because of the no NOA2 thing LOL), and I am SO ready for a reunion

I SWEAR, I have to babysit these people's every move and it's STILL not right!!

Thank GOD we didn't need it. Here's hoping we can all get interviews ASAP

Well I just sent off an email to my consulate and explained about the next available time and our wedding date. Asked if there was any way to secure that date now. Can't hurt. This last little wait is brutal. I thought it would be easy but just not having that interview date yet is making me nuts.

Ha, it's better to babysit them, it's the only way to be sure. I called DOS, there was no extra news for me. I'll still call the embassy as planned tomorrow though

That's the good thing about NOA2, we can actually find out find out where we are and when things change. They'll have yours logged soon

Any one who received RFE within 3 weeks got approved recently? Any hope? Any light? Today is my 8th day since they received my RFE Response and still counting, I don't know until when I'll be counting!!!!!!

I totally understand Mary. When my case was on it's way to the Consulate I emailed the Consulate AND called them saying that I moved meanwhile. On the phone they reassured me that they have the new address. In my case they did change my address but the mailman delivered it to the wrong address!!! Lucky for me they brought it over tonight.

So YAAAAAAAY we received packet 3!!!

First I had to cry because of all the stress that occurred prior to this magnificent happening, then I started to develop a terrible headache because of the stress relief and now I'm just shaking and quadruple checking the DS forms so I can send it tomorrow... what a day, what a day!

Now to our interview!
