Well, a new day a different story. I reached the 200 club 5 days ago and still no word from Vermont. I called last Thursday and was told they were working on 6 Feb (my date 27 Feb) and I should call back when they are past working on my date. "you are still in your timeline". So I called back Friday and they told me they were working on 27 Feb and to call back on Monday. I thought I would give them an extra day and called this morning. I was told they were working on 27 Feb and should call back later in the week. I demanded to speak to 2 level supervisor, the lady said it could be a couple of hours wait. I told her no problem I am retired and can and will wait. A recording came on and said I should be waited on in 2-3 minutes. Guess what I was! A nice guy agreed with me it was out of time limits and he would file a service request and I would hear back within 10 days. He took all my info and email address. So hopefully he was serious and something will happen. I have seen nor heard of any movement on us Feb filers in the last week. I hope other people are getting approved. Good luck to all Ron

Sorry to hear that Ron. It really seems they are working on March petitions and just don't want to answer why so many Febuary petitions have not been "touched". I really feel bad for everyone waiting this long to hear something and already telling myself and Tamara it may take 7 months or longer for us too. Oh well, what doesn't kill us.....lol. Give me a call when you hear something.

I can speak from experience. After NOA2 my fiance got her visa approval about 3 weeks later. Make sure you know and are familiar with what the next steps are as soon as you get your NOA2 approval. Start working on those I-134's. It will be hectic and exciting at this stage.

That sounds so good!

I have all forms ready and two i-134 so I'm set. Just need a medical and in the Netherlands the Consulate needs to apply for a police report. The so that will make it two weeks longer. It is just such a good feeling to know that I'll bee with Kim within 5 weeks!!

I called the US Embassy, they said that my paperwork had been processed and I should hear within 3 weeks for my interview date. :) Really hoping that they make that within a week ;)

So it took them just over a week to process my paperwork(packet 3) for those of you going through the US Embassy here.

This is the most uplifting post I've seen in a while - was so dreading the 9 week lead time! This definitely raises my hopes a bit - thank you! (F)

Hi Ron - this is exactly what we did - spoke to an officer who agreed we should have a service request filled out. We received our NOA2 late in the evening of the 7th day following this. No idea if it's connected or if it was just our 'turn' but good luck :)

Thank you for the heads up, no way it should take this long. Checking Igor's list they are deep into March filers. This system sucks. I wish all those waiting have a speedy approval and a wonderful home coming for their loved ones. Ron

Do I staple a photo to it, or do I send the forms without pass photo's?

Hi Michel - it says on ours do NOT include a photo (no matter what the instructions say lol!) but take one to the embassy - don't know if this is the same for your embassy?

I did staple a photo to both of my DS-156 forms (The US Embassy in the UK wanted a duplicate, I don't know if this is the same for other countries). I don't think you have to, but I did, I wanted to be sure :)

You should probably check with your embassy forum, but for the UK, I didn't attach anything. You just need to bring 2 passport photos to the interview (although I'm making Rob bring a bunch, just in case.

I really hope the 9 week thing isn't true about the interview. There have been several people talking about the wait on the London threads, but who knows? Nothing has been predictable so far!

Thank you. Yes I was a bit perplexed with the 9 weeks, so really happy the paperwork is done. 3 weeks for an interview date? Does it take that long to check the diary? Again, I'm hoping that's just the maximum wait and I actually hear early next week or earlier :) I'll keep everyone posted though on here :)

I just called the DOS and was told our forms have all been received and we're now eligible for interview but that a date has not been set yet! She seemed a bit reluctant to give out information so I didn't press her with any questions on timing...i'll save them for the embassy!!! It's free for me to call the DOS so i'm calling them and when I get some positive news I follow it up with an expensive call to the embassy the next day for more info!!!
