Go to USCIS website and check processing time for Vermont Service Center that was updates just today, and you'll be shocked like me.

Okay, you're right but it doesn't make any sense at all  ...seemed like VSC has been incredibly fast, been wishing I was with VSC myself. CSC processing times still says 5 months but that doesn't mean anything, might just not be updated. Either way, I say let's stay positive and do our best to be patient, nothing much else we can do or gain from worrying. :)

I see what you mean, but I wouldn't worry, it's a fact that folks from December are getting approvals and VSC is working on December filers as we speak, BUT, I'll let someone who has been around longer agree or disagree with me. USCIS is know for inaccurate info. I know for a long time it said 5 months. Maybe now they are just trying to cover their butts by putting it 10 months back. I dunno, makes no sense to me.

Woohoo Joy! Ticking off the months is a big deal to me!

As for VSC...It really has to be a mistake...they can't just suddenly jump back months and months. This news makes my heart sink, but I'm trying to stay hopeful based on others' petitions.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Hey all

Just got home from Chisinau to see my girlfriend. On my visit I made a stop into the US Embassy there and asked them about the K1 Visa Paperwork after the NOA2..

They told me a couple things so I just thought I'd share them with you guys...Take these with a grain of salt though because every embassy is different

1) I asked them what they wanted to see with the Affidavit of Support. I showed them a verification of employment and I was told that the Embassy doesn't look at the verification very much. They told me to make sure I include it with my packet but what they are really looking for is IRS Tax Transcripts. Tax transcripts can be acquired here - https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof-tra/start.do ...They want the recent tax year (2011). I have requested all three of the last years be sent to me. It's for free so why not. Can never have too much info.

2) They told me a ring is not required. This may differ from embassy to embassy though. I had already told my girlfriend that I wanted to give her the ring when she was here.

I seem to have missed all the excitement with the delays at VSC - kind of glad LOL! Will just keep plugging away at the hunting and gathering of stuff for the next phase of the process. He's going to get his vac records from his doctor this week and try and get any of the ones he may need - hopefully free! Not pain free though - BWAHAHA! Oh,wait, I need to start practicing the role of sympathetic wife, don't I? :-p Eh, if he doesn't know me better than that by now...

Yeah, I didn't want to say anything but definitely has me going  to see no approvals on CSC side these last couple of days. Very odd that the last approval was April 19 that's why I really didn't buy whatever theoretical delay VSC is claiming because it seems to me like it's the CSC that's slowing down or rather halting. Yet when all's said and done, nothing to do but keep being patient :) At least we are certain come next year, we will have moved on with our lives with our loves so yes, let us do keep our faith and hope alive.

Another one came through at CSC! Some people just don't update their timelines very promptly. But yes, nothing to do but wait. Beaulahluo's fiance is going to be here sometime this weekend, and I can't think about that very much without feeling a twinge of jealousy. Soon it will be me, right? (Please?)

Yes, you're coming up soon! I do have a good feeling about VSC and as long as you fall into the majority group (which you will), you will be fine. :)That's great for Beauhlahlo :-) She must be super excited.

Hello, everyone! So, I have a confession to make; I've been one of those creepy lurkers reading this forum without actually posting anything, so that comes to a stop now! Just a quick intro - I'm Dan, live in NYC. My fiancee is Lindsey. We met here while she was attending grad school, but she had to move back to South Korea once her student visa expired. It was only until after that she left that we realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other, so we've started this whole process. We've been making this long, long, long distance relationship work for nearly a year now. But we know that it'll be worth it in the end.

During the whole process of getting the I-129F together, this whole site was a tremendous help. Anyways, just wanted to say hello and commiserate that all this waiting is the worst!

Also, I wanted to share this link with you guys:

http://dashboard.uscis.gov/

It provides data for the various USCIS offices for the various forms, and you can play with it to see if you can spot any trends and whatnot. I was hoping it would be updated each quarter or so, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyways, hope everyone is well. I'll mostly be online, but Lindsey may post occasionally as well.

2/25/2012 - I-129F sent

2/29/2012 - Email notification of NOA1

9/06/2012 - NOA2!!!! Oh yeah!!!

9/13/2012 - Arrival at NVC

9/17/2012 - Sent to Consulate in Seoul, Korea

9/23/2012 - Packet 3 email received

9/28/2012 - Interview Date!

9/28/2012 - Approved!

Welcome aboard! Thanks for sharing the link, I had seen it before and found it quite confusing actually. I don't know what they mean by receipts and by "all other pending". Doesn't make sense to me that there are 18,000 pending cases from January 2010 for instance. And yeah, the data would change significantly if it was updated more regularly I'm sure.
