Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I didn't get to read VJ until now - busy day at work - I did call the embassy this morning and they seemed unsure about the birth certificate etc. So to be safe I ended up sending the info, it's all together with the forms though, so I'm hoping they'll just keep it all together :-)

I know it says on the DS-2001 to send it, a covering letter and DS-230 part 1. However, I sent it all together like you.

Have you tracked the DHL? It took them a couple of days to say they had it after the DHL package had been delivered.

If i'm right in tracking using EXP 29 AUG2012A then it was signed for yesterday. I guess i'll call the embassy again on Friday and check

Hey all, hope everyone is well and getting approved and getting medicals and interviews. We are still waiting for the NVC to receive ours, but it feels great to be moving forward after the horrendous wait!

Yep, medical and paperwork will be at the embassy by the end of the week. So I guess I'll start chasing packet 4 next week

I know what you mean, is so good to feel that things are moving. Yours should be there early next week, maybe end of this. As soon as you get the LND number it's worth looking into booking the medical as there was a 2 week wait.

It depends, you'd need to call your embassy/consulate to see if it was OK to have the medical early. Also it depends on who does the medical and if they'd let you book it just giving them the case number from NVC.

i called again the USCIS. she started the service request but couldnt do it. she later said that if i dont recieve information in the next 19 days to call back ( wich would be my 7 month mark) she said it should come before that. and that the 5 month thing was just an estimate.. she seemed nicer than other people.it kind of gives me hope but still i cant trust what they say.

Argh! So still waiting for NOA2 here but now we've gotten a reply to the statements we've supplied to the courts to bring Alan's kids here. His ex has all kinds of (weird) rebuttals. I won't get into details, but it just means more fact finding and paperwork (and headaches) for us. I'm just so ready for this to be done with.
