This is more a question to someone going or been to the London Embassy. They sent packet 3, but it didn't make it apparently. I already have the forms filled in anyway. So I want to send them in, my question is about DS-156K. On the website it says that this form gets sent with the others, but the form says that you have to attach evidence of financial support, birth certificate etc. I thought these documents were taken on the interview day and not sent in. So I'm wondering if I need to send DS-156K or just take it along when I go for the interview. I know this is specific to each embassy/consulate does anyone know for London?

Thanks

Gav

Obviously i'm a week behind you so can't answer from experience but i'd go off this link http://london.usembassy.gov/kprocessing.html that says you send the form in with the others. I get the impression that it's almost a declaration that you HAVE all the documents and that, together with the DS-2001 are you letting them know that and that you are ready to bring them to the interview. I'll be waiting to see if anyone already thru the process can clarify that!!!

This is what I've seen today for movement of numbers on Joy's spreadsheet:

Feb 22 - 1 approval

Feb 23 - 1 approval

Feb 27 - 1 RFE

Feb 29 - 1 approval

Not much movement but that was run a couple of hours ago so we still have time today. Come on Vermont!!!

How do you see the dates approved ???

193 days nothing!!

Has anyone got anything positive to say because I think I am on my last breathe with this now, it's utterly demoralising

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis is the site to check receipt numbers. A bunch of people from VJ compiled a spreadsheet of receipt numbers from Feb at VSC. We just manually enter the numbers into the USCIS website and check for progress. It's a good time waster lol. I totally understand your frustration! We're at 190 days. It's got to be soon for everyone in Feb. Just hang in there a little longer!!

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Congrats on the approval, Terri!!! And Mark, yours will be along shortly!

This is more a question to someone going or been to the London Embassy. They sent packet 3, but it didn't make it apparently. I already have the forms filled in anyway. You do need to send the DS-156k with the rest of your packet 3 forms, but you do not need to send in your birth certificate, affidavit, etc, with it. You bring those things to the interview. One of the forms also asks you to glue a passport picture to it. I've heard that you can submit without a passport picture, or you can paper clip it to the form. Either way, bring several to London for your interview.

The one thing I was confused by was that you're supposed to send the DS-230 with the DS-2001 according to one of the forms (I can't remember which), but you're also supposed to send the DS-230 with the rest of packet 3. Rob and I just sent everything together, figuring that should work since others on VJ have done it that way. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I didn't get to read VJ until now - busy day at work - I did call the embassy this morning and they seemed unsure about the birth certificate etc. So to be safe I ended up sending the info, it's all together with the forms though, so I'm hoping they'll just keep it all together :-)

I know it says on the DS-2001 to send it, a covering letter and DS-230 part 1. However, I sent it all together like you.
