I am so depressed . I got RFE this morning. I received a text message at 6:40 AM to get the bad news after all that waiting time. Do you guys know how long it takes them to give a decision upon receiving my response?

Sorry to hear that! Usually it doesn't take them to long to make a decision. Maybe a couple of weeks, sometimes a little longer sometime less... Good luck!

I booked my medical today, it's September 19. I have to go to my regualar doctor to take the blood test and to a different place to take the x-ray before my appointment. I hope everything goes smooth.

I had my medical. My appointment was for 9.50, I got there at 9.30. I filled out a basic questionnaire (embassy copy) which is pretty much the same as the one as the doctors had me download and fill in from their website before the appointment.

I turned my phone off as there were signs that said to, so I don't know how much time passed while waiting in the waiting room. I had my chest x-ray done and went back to the waiting room for about 5 minutes. Then I was called through for the doctor. They asked some questions related to vaccinations, I had gotten all the vaccinations before the appointment. I was asked if I had had chickenpox, which I had. So that was written on the vaccination record, this was given as an advisor for waiving the chickenpox vaccination.

I had a simple eye test, a few pokes, chest and lungs checked, blood pressure and a blood sample taken. That was it, then back to the waiting room for 5 minutes before paying. I just need to wait 2 days for the blood and x-ray results, if I don't hear anything, that's good. Then the embassy should get the results on Friday.

I left and turned my phone on, it showed 10.57 - So a little over an hour, painless and easy

I'm sorry to hear that, but don't worry too much. You'll get the letter hopefully this week, and the faster you get whatever evidence needed in, the better. Your application has been looked at, so that means your approval shouldn't be too far off!

From the ones I've read about, only a couple of weeks from the RFE to approved. It's good to be out of the K1 void, you'll be approved soon

Hi All

Well I'm back home and it really sucks the big one. I am going through my Honeybun withdrawl and I can only sort ####### for so long. Ok so now my little hissy fit is out of the way I want to say I'm so happy for those approval as i means some of us must be getting closer. i have not seen any Feb 24 VJ'ers with an approval though. I might of just missed them. Gosh let this hell come to a close. I am staying with my sister now as we have to sort out mom's estate stuff. Please someone hear our roars and give us our damned approvals... Ok so i thought my hissy fit was over. i have really missed being able to get in here and see what's happening.

Hope they make up for the stat and really put the peddle to the metal..

Yes it took me about two weeks from the time they received my answer. So answer the RFE as soon as you can.

When responding to a Request for Evidence it is extremely important that you place the blue coversheet on the top of the response you send to them. The VSC receives thousands of pieces of correspondence each day, if the blue coversheet is not on the top of the response it will be placed in “general” correspondence and NOT sorted as a priority, which may delay your case.

This is what I've seen today for movement of numbers on Joy's spreadsheet:

Feb 22 - 1 approval

Feb 23 - 1 approval

Feb 27 - 1 RFE

Feb 29 - 1 approval

Not much movement but that was run a couple of hours ago so we still have time today. Come on Vermont!!!

This is more a question to someone going or been to the London Embassy. They sent packet 3, but it didn't make it apparently. I already have the forms filled in anyway. So I want to send them in, my question is about DS-156K. On the website it says that this form gets sent with the others, but the form says that you have to attach evidence of financial support, birth certificate etc. I thought these documents were taken on the interview day and not sent in. So I'm wondering if I need to send DS-156K or just take it along when I go for the interview. I know this is specific to each embassy/consulate does anyone know for London?
