Oops, I meant medical not interview :-P

The number I called on is 09042-450-100, but it's £1.23 a minute - just so you know. I just said I wanted to check on the status of packet 3 and if it has been sent out. They ask if you have the case id and also ask some security questions. I didn't have to wait long to talk to someone, around 2 minutes once you're through the phone system - I choose the general inquiries option (option 4 I think, or 3). The two times I've called so far have been 8.40am and 1.25pm.

Oh and I did the same jumped ahead and booked the medical.

Argh! All the government officials' phone numbers are going direct to voicemail today I've tried two senators and my congressman and they keep saying the phone is busy do to high calls. My aunt's been trying to get in touch with Kerry's office all week for a Medicare related issue and it's been voicemail there all week. So frustrating. Guess we'll have to wait till after the holiday to get any help.

Yep I've been checking flights, when I have an interview date I'll book a flight for the week following it. I believe it takes 2-3 days for them to send the visa after the interview. I'll book a return flight as that's half the price of a one way flight!

Rob had his medical yesterday which he said was a breeze. He had a South African doctor, which inspired Rob to quote the movie District 9 the rest of the day. He said the only bad thing was getting to London, as he lives in the southwest in England. Good luck with the medical, Gavin!

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. From what I've read it sounds pretty straight forward, like the interview. I'll still have some nerves before each though.
