Just got off the phone with USCIS. Took me forever to get a person and got the same old 02/06 processing BS line. She said it is based on which person gets your file. I'm more confused now than ever...

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've abandoned this application

We married on Aug 24, 2013 in a small ceremony in MA

We'll be applying for a CR1 / IR1 visa as soon as we are able

You can call the NVC at(603) 334-0700. They will give you a case number for your local embassy when it has arrived there. I would wait about a week before calling the NVC, though, as it'll take at least that long before the USCIS has everything sent to NVC, and NVC has processed your file. Congrats on the NOA2!

Still nothing. Fiancee just rung the USCIS and informed her 5 months is not accurate. formal enquiry went in last week, can't know anything until 15 days, no news at all.

Anyone got any ideas at all ??

We put in a service request yesterday but there was an issue doing that with the first operator we spoke to so we pursued it. There seems to be some (debateable) logic about what constitutes 5 months, 6 months, whatever...

The date they say they are working on is Feb 6th but we see later reviews being done. We are past the 6 months mark and our petition was received Feb 29th - it doesn't get later than that!

Anyway it seems also that they have to reply to us within 14 days - I wouldn't mind getting an approval before that so I'm not sure what good it might do. Still, you gotta feel like you're doing someonthing, right?

Meanwhile... back to school on Monday :o

I just dont seem to get any information from them. A service request has been put in by our lawyers and inform us they will not hear anything until 6th September! 188 days, but i notice people on here have been approved both before and after my case. I just do not get it, losing complete faith whether this is ever going to happen or not
