Well, I just got an RFE. I was certain I wouldn't get one and now I don't know what to do. I already sent in our tickets from two trips to see eachother, receipts for our wedding and engagement rings, 300 some odd love letters, photos with our families.... I mean what else do they even want?!

So sorry for you! But like the rest say, wait for the hardcopy, usually it's something easy to fix (F)

Officially at the six month mark today at CSC and no word. I thought CSC was supposed to be fast or did they just skip mine. :(

No. CSC has been slowing down. Mine went there and took 6 months to the day..... Of course they also cleared it the day after receiving a call from the Senators office.... so we can hope yours will be soon!

I know I've been MIA for a while but have been skimming through the threads. I've had a crazy summer with a few family emergencies and a lot of work so haven't had the time or energy to post about visas. I just got caught up on the threads and wanted to say a huge congrats to everyone who's been approved! As much as we know that it's best for us to have a later NOA2 date, I still feel the need to stalk the USCIS page daily and want that approval. Knowing that we're at the middle of August now means we probably won't have to file for an extension to make Alan's custody hearing date. That one fact makes me so happy!!! Looks like it's our time now everyone! Keep hanging in there and we'll all be approved shortly :)

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Initially filed for K1 visa - Feb 23 2012

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've abandoned this application

We married on Aug 24, 2013 in a small ceremony in MA

We'll be applying for a CR1 / IR1 visa as soon as we are able

Watch this space for updates!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It just so totally bummed me out today. I hope it is something easy to fix. I'm wondering if it's a lack of primary evidence. I had photos of us together and the email confirmation of my flight to the UK and his here, but I stupidly chucked my boarding passes....

I just can't imagine what it could be. I sent the first page of my passport. I had no idea we needed every page of both of our passports? This whole process is awful. Now it seems it will be a whole extra month probably 'if' we get approved.

Generally it's the first page of the passport and any pages that have immigration stamps to prove the visits.

It may sound babe, but it'll probably be something really simple and quick to sort out. So congratulations, you are out of the NOA1 wilderness now, I think most RFE's seem to be sorted and approved in a couple of weeks. Stay strong, it'll be done soon :-)

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It just so totally bummed me out today. I hope it is something easy to fix. I'm wondering if it's a lack of primary evidence. I had photos of us together and the email confirmation of my flight to the UK and his here, but I stupidly chucked my boarding passes....

I didn't have a copy of my passport or stamps in my petition - I only sent my birth certificate. I think my explanation of how we met and how I proposed (about a page long - single spaced), 4 photos of us together, and 4 copies of cards I wrote Eun Hee (I write her one every month) was enough to convince them that we met and our relationship is genuine.

With that in mind, it's probably something small like forgetting to check or sign something. You'll hear from them soon~

Well, that's encouraging. I guess we'll see when it comes and, yes, it's nice to know its been tended to at least and out of Noa1 land for the most part.

I received a text message saying your case has been updated, and at this point I'm extremely nervous and excited to see what it says - I thought for sure it was an RFE - but I log on and see.... On August 16, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)!

I still can't even believe it fully... I just woke up and I feel like I could be dreaming still! I'm just immensely thankful right now and excited.... I don't even know what to say because I was hoping and praying for this for today unlike any other day before.

So could anyone please be kind enough to tell me what we should do now, my mind is still in shock....

I just want to say that I'm going to pray for those who haven't been approved yet, because I know the pain is severe and the waiting is really like an agonizing torture. It seems they're processing petitions at a good rate now, so keep hoping and persevering!
