I wonder how long it takes to approved 1 I-129f from the moment they start working on it... An hour? Three? How many can one uscis agent do in a day?

ive heard the background check take a few minutes. and idk about the rest but i dont think it takes that long.

It doesn't take that long, it's the fact that it sits in a box before they pick it up that's the problem.

In reality, your petition and mine has probably never been touched again save the time they took to originally pack it up when they received.

If you guys haven't read it before, you should look at this interview that one of the VJ members did a few years ago with a VSC adjudicator: Interview with VSC adjudicator. Even though it still sucks that there is a stall with fiance visa approvals, it might explain why they are focusing on other types of visas.

Was just texting with Tom:

He said he got through to something, and they said January 16, but he got them to put him through to a message system, and he should get a call back within 48-72 hours, regarding escalation.

Keeping my fingers crossed. As soon as he told me he got through to someone, my heart instantly started beating like, 2x faster LOL. I'm hoping for some news this week. (That being said, I've been hoping for the last 6 months LOL)

Well, that post from the USCIS guy makes me wonder if there was an issue with my application that caused it to get set aside? But I never got an RFE or anything of the like. I almost feel a little more worried after that. Also, does this mean they have shifted back to not working on k-1s again because there has been no progress at all for the last two days... I can't remember seeing 'no' progress before.

Yup. I think they've been "working" on January 16 for a month now LOL. But I was surprised they let him go through to the escalation step, even with the Jan 16 date. I'm pretty sure even if they do contact him in 48-72 hours, they still have another 30 days to respond... and most people will get their NOA2 in 30 days from now anyway... but I guess I feel a bit better with giving them a little nudge in our direction.

im scared to call because if i call anyone i feel like they will do everything in the power to make me wait longer... thats what im scared of

I was afraid of that too, that I would call and inadvertently tick someone off and they would do something horrid with my case. However, everyone has been really nice both times I've called. I bet people are always really super pleasant to them on the phone out of fear, heh.
