Congrats Afoyoswa!

I really would like to get an approval before I leave london! At this rate, he might have to get a new police certificate because he got one last september when we were researching this process ( a tad early but what the heck) and now, if his interview is not in september, we'll have to get a new one which will delay the post NoA2 process.

Plus, we have to travel out of the US for christmas and September - Dec is NOT enough time for wedding, AOA, advance parole and general planning.

ITs starting to look like he wont be here till January. :-(

I have a NoA1 date of Feb 6 VSC! come on!!!

I know what you mean. My police certificate was December, so I'm good, but for our wedding we decided to get married with a little gathering once I get there. Then we will have a wedding(blessing) next year (May 4th) with friends and family from both sides of the pond. We just needed the time to arrange what we wanted to do and need to be able to give the over seas guests enough notice to book holiday etc.

TSC does not process K1 petitions anymore (USCIS changed the process in 2010), only VSC and CSC do.

On another note, I wish all of you February filers good luck; hopefully we'll see some more approvals out of VSC soon! Me and my fiancé have just passed the five months mark and are hoping for news within the next one or two months.

Ah, cool, that explains such a silly processing average for them 15.2 months :-P

And agree, Good luck to all :-)

So, even though Igor's List was only showing 2 approvals today, here is what I could see. Some of these may have been in a previous update: sorry.

Feb. 2: 1 approval, 2 RFEs yesterday / 1 RFE today

Feb. 7: 2 approvals, 3 RFEs yesterday / 1 approval today

Feb. 8: 3 approvals yesterday / 2 approvals, 2 RFEs today

Feb. 13: 1 approval today

Feb. 14: 1 approval today

Here's where it gets weird. It looks like they tripped over a box of Feb. 21 petitions and thought, what the heck, let's look at these.

Feb. 21: 5 approvals yesterday / 20 approvals today

I am so bewildered.

Especially since one of them was ours. I was really not expecting this at all, because we were so very, very, very far from being "next in line." I feel bad being happy. So mostly I am shocked and incredulous. But...yay?

That's great news, Don't feel bad being happy we're all here to support and encourage each other through this crazy process. I was happy to see one approval for Feb 14 as that's my NOA1 date. I just hope they don't stray to far from that box.

Congrats, Joy!!! How exciting!!! Here's hoping for a fast post-NOA2 process!

I hope the fat adjudicators at VSC pick up some speed today. Perhaps one should hide a hamburger in the applications?

Congratulationssss!! You have the right to be happy!!! Everybody will be when his/her time comes. Why refraining yourself from celebrating??? We all know that most of the time if not all the time, it's just by chance that they pick some applications over others but eventually they will get through all of them ;) hoping you a speedy process from now on!!!

For us, our NOA2 arrived in the middle of the estimate, but it would be a majority of the time because the estimate is a moving target. Eventually it stopped moving ahead and we got into our estimated date range, but with each passing day, a day is just added on the end. The estimate is only as good as the data, so requires VJ users to update their details accurately.

The only thing I will say is that if you do go beyond the estimate it's because most VJ users on or around your date have received their NOA2, so it is then valid to chase them up.

Hope that helps :-)

YAY JOY & AARON!! That's awesome! :-) Hope the rest of the journey goes smoothly for you!

I have finally reached the expected date on my timeline - it stopped running away from me. I hope that actually means something...so if I get it within the next 5 days, then yes. Ignoring the fact my timeline initially was for the middle of June... A pox upon you, VSC! :-p

Thanks, everyone! I *am* happy, but there was a lot of feeling really dazed at the beginning. I had just left work at ~4:30pm, and was about to drive outside the city to buy my new sofa (i.e. the final piece of the Getting Things Ready For Aaron plan: I was just joking to him on the phone at lunchtime that the NOA2 could arrive whenever it wanted, now that I have the couch--that maybe the universe was waiting for me to be completely, TOTALLY ready), and when I got to the car I pulled out my phone to turn the ringer back on after having it on silent all day at work. There was a new text from like 2 minutes before that, and then it turned out to be USCIS saying my case had been updated. I don't have a smart phone, so cue my frantically driving to a nearby Dunkin' Donuts and then stealing some free wireless in the entryway so I could log into my account at USCIS and see what happened. And then I called Aaron, who didn't even answer the first time I called because his phone was charging in another room, and who is of course completely over the moon (although not enough that I could convince him to leave for Kampala to start working on the documents he needs right away--at midnight. Geez, why not???). :star:

So, back to the matter at hand: does anyone else have receipt #s who hasn't already sent them to me? Particularly from the end of February. I'd love to have at least 50 from each of the days I'm watching!

Joy (& Aaron, who doesn't read/post here yet)

Dec. 27, 2010: First met each other in Entebbe, Uganda while I was visiting my friend/his cousin (12/27/10 - 1/10/11) (visited again Jul. 2-9, 2011 and Dec. 24, 2011 - Jan. 9, 2012; engaged 1/7/12)
