Not to discourage you all or anything but expect a wait of 6.5 months before you all hear anything. and expect to be stalled from all the RFE.s they gave out for Jan petitions. Otherwise from that, im wishing you all the best and speedy approvals.

I'm hoping that with this spurt in VSC productivity, the worst of the elongated wait times will be a thing of the past. Just since July 20 (after seeming months of no change at all), the approved January VSC petitions have gone from 63.9% to 73.4%, and the February ones from 8.8% to 17.1% (with the effect dampened slightly by the fact that the total number of VJ petitions for each month keeps inexplicably increasing: there have been 7 new January petitions and 16 new February petitions added to VJ since July 20). If the next couple of weeks continue on this trajectory, the whole picture will change very rapidly.

Thanks for the wishes djricky. Based on what we saw happen with the Janauary filers and approaching 6 months in 10 days since receipt of NOA1 I am just hoping that an approval by the end of this month would be great.

Oh, and in the interest of accuracy, I was looking back at this week's approvals, and realized that the way I'd been entering the dates when I was searching timelines for the graph was leaving out the Monday and Friday petitions (i.e. "2012-07-30 to 2012-08-03" translates to "after July 30 but before August 3" rather than "on July 30 and August 3 and all days in between"). Which admittedly weren't plentiful at times, but it still makes a difference. The pattern of approvals is still more or less the same, though.

its the first i saw soo many RFE's, im just happy i got out of VSC end of July after 6.5 months incident free. you all need to wish for the same cause thats the only explanation for that long delay. i though we would never get approved

Well here I am on a Friday afternoon bored to tears.(I could be doing house work... yawn)... I went into the Canada-Vancouver & Montreal stat pages to see what the average days to NOA2 was and how long to interview form NOA1. It was interesting. These are the numbers and dates from 2011-2012

Vancouver

average days until NOA2 - 143

average days between NOA1 and interview 233

taking out obvious expedites

days to NOA2 - 145

between NOA1 and interview - 235

Montreal

average days until NOA2 - 122

average days between NOA1 and interview 241

days to NOA2 - 126

days between NOA1 and interview 260

So my conclusion - Mine will come when it comes

I'm at day 162 from NOA1

there were 6 people with days more than mine at the moment from my consulate in Vancouver

I went ahead and mailed the application for the police certificate today...felt SO good to actually DO something and lifted me a little after just sitting waiting for over 5 months!!!!! Now have to go back to the sitting waiting deal but pray it won't be too much longer before the longed for NOA2!
