this is getting crazy

i have seen atleast 5 or 6 cases that got submitted the same time as mine(jan 30, 2012) or after AND went to Vermont and have gotten NOA2's before mine.

and mine was only touched once ten days after i submitted it. Is there something i am not doing?

Cori and Rob - Congrats!!! That's good to hear they responded so quickly to you.

Val passed her interview and will pick up her Visa on Tuesday!!!!!!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Interview questions are embassy specific, but they asked her a LOT:

1) What my parents do for a living

2) Where I live? Where do my parents live?

3) A few misc questions about skype convos

4) How did we meet? (we met on a dating site, and they asked if she disabled her account on the site yet hahaha)

5) A few questions about the engagement ring, which my fiancee doesn't have one yet and we are buying one in the states. We were prepped for this question though and Val had printouts of the websites of the various jewelry stores we were going to visit

6) Do I speak any Romanian?

7) Will her parents come to our wedding? Will her sisters or brothers?

They were very nice and it was somewhat easy. Val will be in the US next Saturday. We will see soon how married life goes but I think it will be great. We get along so well it's kind of scary how much we both think alike.

K1 Process -

We got our NOA1 on February 9th, but the touched date hasn't changed since February 11th. Is this something to worry about or is this not updated until NOA2 is done?

Thanks

Thanks! This has been a long long process. I hope everyone still waiting will get theirs soon. It really does go fast after the NVC receives the paperwork.

For my fiancee, she is grasping at days and time now to say her goodbyes to her friends and family. You wait and wait and are unhappy it is taking so long to get the NOA2, but then things speed up so fast that it seems like it went by TOO quickly.

We actually could have booked her flight for Saturday (tomorrow) but she needs time to tell everyone bye. I can't imagine how hard it is to leave for another country so I am being patient with this process.

Is there something i am not doing?

Is this something to worry about or is this not updated until NOA2 is done?

Thanks

those were the exact questions I had been asking myself before finally getting NOA2 couple days ago. I talked about my worries to my fiancé and we decided that we were waiting until August 11th - our six month mark. Someone on this site speculated that it might be that we gotta count 5 months + 31 days from NOA1. We thought there was some sense to this explanation and until then there was nothing really we could do. So, until August 11th we were prepared to be waiting.. well, not patiently, but obediently. Speedy NOA2 to you guys, it's coming.

Thanks for replying. We're looking to 9th August, just hoping it will be before. It was just a little unnerving reading about people seeing touches on their petition, but not seeing any on ours - Just a moment of worry of the petition slipping down the back of someones desk or something :-P
