Because I have punched numbers around mine and there are only ten I-129F petition around me. Numbers waay under and waaay over are different kinds of applications........(EAD and temporary protected status...)

VSC needs to chill on the RFE's though....after all they've put us and the january filers through we deserve an automatic expedite, not an RFE.

Hey Guys!!

For all the ones that are waiting for NVC to process their petitions. Don't let it get you down what they say when you call them!! My fiance called a couple of days ago and asked if they received the petition, they asked for the case number and everything but I don't think they really checked it...They told him to call back in 20 days, well...last friday I got a letter in the mail from my Embassy that they received our case!!!

So stay positive:D! Good luck everybody

Can I ask you about the first paragraph of your NOA2? (oh oh, I sound like the NVC people ) is it saying that your case "has been sent to the NVC" or "has been sent to the embassy/consulate"?

I don't know the reason, but apparently this has been the case for some other members...I guess this also goes to that "where do socks go in the dryer" list

Hi everyone! I'm feeling a lot calmer now and will try to stay that way! Hope everyone has been hanging in there.

Just popped in to say that I also looked around at the receipt #s for VSC on the USCIS website. There are indeed long stretches of numbers that are for other types of petitions, but if you keep going, there will always be some more I-129Fs sprinkled around. It just shows you how much other stuff VSC has on their plate aside from the fiance/ee visa petitions. I looked through a sequence of about 1600 receipt numbers adjacent to mine for documents received on 2/21 (the date mine was logged), and out of those, only 141 were I-129Fs (and out of those, 1 was withdrawn, 2 had RFEs, and 3 were approved: 3/23, 5/16, and 5/17).

Curiously, there were also a bunch of I-130s in the sequence that I reviewed, and I didn't keep track, but it seemed as though well over half were already approved. If you look at the statistics for spouse visas at VSC on Igor's List, the timelines are several weeks ahead of those for the I-129F. So, I guess that's what they've been working on.

And still we wait!
