Hi everyone, seems like if a new topic is not posted the chances to reply to an old one are less :)

A couple of questions for the group :)

After you get married and need to change the name on the SSN; you will receive it in the same day or will take a few days in mail?

Also, What types of things should we do now that we have applied (AOS)(we are going to open up our new joint bank account, and put me on all the house stuff, is there something we should be doing besides this?)

Thank you!

Those are the main things, financial evidence is what they really want, so joint bank account, both names on lease or mortgage, any loans or car financing you do put in both names, bills in both names as well as when you file taxes file jointly. Your AOS should be fairly easy, I believe just the bills and accounts with some pictures was all it took for that, but the other things like tax transcripts and all that, those are for later when you do the ROC, makes sure that you have enough evidence down the road :)

if you are posting your own question you should always start a new topic and not hijack someone elses thread. If you posted a qn and no-one has replied you can reply yourself to "bump" the thread up to the top. You don't start a new topic.

SSN - around a week or 2

Re the rest. Live your life.
