i went to pick up my visa at the embassy on the 10th and was told to come back on the 17th as they couldnt attend to all of us present on the 10th. On the 17th after waiting for about 8hrs, i was called to a window and siting there was the co who interviewed me. He told me the staff cant find my file and pleaded with me to bear with him as he did a mistake after the interview and put it somewhere he shouldnt have. He then gave me a new slip and took my phone number saying as soon as they find it, they will authenticate the printing of my visa and get me in to pick it up asap. Is there any concern to worry about? Please if anyone has experience this before kindly let me know how it turned out. Thank you!

I'm sure they'll find it, but just because I hate when people don't do their job right, especially when the life of several people is at stake, I'd have the USC spouse call DOS to complain about it, maybe send a complaint letter, make some noise about the un-professional behavior of the the CO. Just to put pressure on the silly CO and make sure he won't "forget" about you.

Oh my God. My husband is supposed to pick up his visa on the 29th after our interview was held on the 24 of January. They said they were going slower because they are behind in printing visa, due to an increase in interviews. I pray these people have not misplaced our stuff. This Embassy is crazy. Our friends had this happen they lost his passport and all. He had to have everything reissued. Just before he left they called and they had found everything. How can they get away with doing their jobs so poorly.
