I heard back from Congressman Roe today the letter is as follows:

Dear Ms. Sheeshka,

Thank you for contacting my office regarding your I-30 Petition for Alien Relative. This is to let you know I have followed through with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on your behalf.

The below correspondence from the USCIS was received in my office.

USCIS records show your case WAC ######## is currently under review with an officer. Your constituent should receive a notice of action with in 45 days.

If you do not hear back from USCIS with in 30 days, please send me an email.

When I inquired about the web site and call center line that sates I-30 Petitions for Spouses of U. S. Citizens would be adjudicated on average of five months and pointed out that your application is taking over eight months, I was advised that there is a higher than normal volume of petitions from over the summer months and they are working as fast as possible to catch up.

I will be doing further investigation into the long wait for you, and others like you, as to why a petition to reunite families take such a long time.

I will be back in touch with you as any reports are made available to me. I appreciate this opportunity to be of help. Please do not hesitate to call on me at any time.

Sincerely,

David P. Roe

Member of Congress TN-01

I take it as good news, and we should hear something soon! I also gather that if I do not receive an NOA in 30 days to let him know, he must be giving USCIS that amount of time to get their act together out in California. If he can come up with some kind of immigration reform to make the process easier and faster for those that will follow us, Yay!

That is good news, he got an answer of sorts for you. I'm not sure where your located, but when our process was at the 9 month mark David got in touch with his congressman from Chicago, and within a week we had our noa2. We had to call the congressman 3 times during our journey all the way from start to green card. Was the only way to give uscis the "push" they needed.

Every time we contacted them within a week or two we had a notice answer or something.

Here's to hoping you get your NOA2 soon!

I'm just happy SOMETHING is happening and it's not sitting in a room some where collecting dust now.

Congressman Roe is on the immigration reform committee, but some of his bills he's proposed are absolutely ridiculous. He leans more to eliminating illegal immigration than helping legal immigration. But I guess the previous helps with the latter.
