Just unpacking from my last trip and looking at my passport it seems I've been a busy girl, and only have 2 completely empty pages left in my passport. Some of the others still have room left for more stamps, but in terms of whole pages I just have two (what happens when you used to work for an airline and get cheap flights)!. That's gonna be enough for the K1, right? I assume they just need 1 page to put the visa in.

I still have 4 years left on this passport but maybe I just get it renewed before I leave the UK, cos it's a pain/super expensive to do once you've left the country, right? We're still a few months away from the NOA2 so I have plenty of time. I'm the beneficiary, obviously. We put a copy of the photo page & entry stamps in our 129f pack. But I assume as long as i keep hold of this passport it shouldn't be a problem if they ask to see the original.

What do you think? is 2 pages enough or should i bite the bullet and get a new passport now? (Annoying, cos I wanted to get a new one next year, with my married name).

You can have pages added. In the US, I don't think it costs anything (maybe shipping). Any consular office can do that as well.

Edited to say I added pages to my US passport for the same reason.

The visa fills one page.

About the first passport (if you get a new one) --You probably used it to show meeting in person. London isn't going to be interested in verifying meetings or evidence of the relationship. You just need a valid passport to travel to the US and a page for the visa.

Getting a UK passport in the US is done through the British Embassy in Washington, DC. It is more expensive and takes awhile from what I read. (Pinned thread in UK forum. Prices have increased steadily since the thread started)

Yah. I need to get a new UK passport and it's US$200 to do it in America, it's closer to US$100 to do it in the UK :S

Thanks for the ideas. Google suggests it is not possible to add pages to a British passport, only order a 'jumbo' sized one at the outset! I think I'll just try get by with this one since k1 literally takes one page. I plan on staying put in the us for as long as possible once I'm there, after all these years of back and forth! Then order one in my married name at some outrageous price next year.... Thanks for hep!
