Hello!!! I received my EAD today in the mail, but to my unpleasant surprise, my birth date says I was born last year. I have called and asked for a tier 2 to have them see what can be done. They said I should wait 5 days to have somebody contact me. It was my fault though -don't really know what I was thinking-... gladly Green Card papers are with the correct information.

My inquiry is: I already have a SSN, when I applied for a change of name on it to my married name they told me to wait until I had an EAD, because my I-94 was by then expired. Anyhow, I wanted to know if you guys know if it's possible to go to the Social Security office to have my name changed to my married name with the wrong date of birth EAD that I have right now? I just want to be able to open accounts, IDs, and License with my married name.

Am I able to work with it? I mean, I was approved after all.

I believe your I-797C notice of action for your I-485 AOS puts you back in status, In Texas Judy was able to get a State ID but they gave it a one year expiration date. Since theoretically it could be denied.

They told me if we applied before we got that "receipt" if the original 90 days was up we would be denied. If the original 90 days was not over then the ID would expire on the last day of your 90 days.

So you would have to go back anyway.

Did they contact you already or are you still waiting? the reason I'm asking is because the same thing happened to me a day later and they told me they will call me back within five days...If they did contact you can you tell me what did they say?
