Yes. Our daughter is a dual citizen. It is Indonesia, not the US that will force her to choose at age 18 otherwise the US does not care.

Be careful that you do not enter/exit the US on the Aussie passport. Ditto Aussie on the US passport

hi guys

so im aussie by birth (ausralian) and i'm thinking of becoming a US Citizen this year or the next, i know austraila has no issue with dual citizenships, i just read it on their site, but i wondered if the US does? does the US allow dual citizenships?

Should not be a problem. In case US border control gives you a hard time why you do not have any visa or stamp for Brazil, then you can say that you are a dual citizen and that you used your 2nd passport to enter/leave Brazil. The rule is, if not asked you don't tell that you are a dual citizen, but if need be, then you do.

Ahhh thank you!

Thank you so much!

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: Colombia
Timeline

My mind was boggled on this issue when I got into the Department of State website on this issue, some odd 200 different countries with 200 different policies on this subject. Ours or I should say their policies are different for each and every different country. I use the word, policies, because not exactly laws, can only visualize our diplomats going to very expensive tax dollar paid parties to meet with other foreign diplomats and either getting plastered or flipping a coin as to exactly what these policies may be.

And it has nothing to do with hard working families just trying to survive, just whatever crook is in charge of that country at the time.

Also funny to read how dangerous it is to visit some of these foreign countries assuming this is all written by USA guys, sure don't mention the north side of Milwaukee or the south side of Chicago to visit.

So you take a very serious oath to become very allegiant to the USA, but still forced to maintain citizenship in your home country if you want to visit your lifelong family. This is not done by your choice, but forced to do so by our idiot leaders. We can get along fine with other peoples, but our leaders cannot!

Why do we have leaders like this?
