Now you know the spirit of the song "Friday I'm in love". LOL. I checked few that were in similar shoe and they got call from the embassy within 3 days to two weeks. Being said that NVC has the reputation of sending incorrect information, rare but that happened. So call NVC again on Tuesday and continue calling the embassy.

And please make sure you share your good experience (your hubby's) that will benefit so many stressed souls like yourself.

You can somewhat start dancing and get ready for the POE. Yeiiiiiiiii

Congrats in advance.

I told you earlier that an AP doesnt mean FBI or name check. This can even stay with the embassy. As such this might happen that your case never even made to NVC and stayed in BD all alone. Bathe way this lady answered that does not indicate it is approved. However you are at the end part of the standard waitin time.

Go to google and search for "US Embassy Dhaka Bangladesh" and Find the embassy website and from there find the embassy phone numbers however call the embassy and email them too. See what they do. On the email make sure you write down USCIS case number, NVC case number, both petitioner and applicants name and dob. After that write your questions.

I wish you get out I this soon.

DOS plays word games.

SO if you ask is my case in washington they will say no it is atthe embassy

YOu need to ask

Can i have a case status update please?

When was the last time it was touched or worked on by someone other then you right now?

they will say it is still in mandatory AP or they will say AP is completed.

The case file will always be at the embassy cause everything is done electronically

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

They day you will know for sure is the day DOS says. AP is completed.

Then is the only time you will know what is going on.

I hope you get the visa soon

I am sorry ou are going thru this

Ask the questions exactly as I wrote and you will get better answers.

Never ask is my case at the embassy or washington...

AP is done thru a computer system. 261 FBI offices around the country. YOu never know who is looking at your file or where they are located.

Just ask what is the last update to my file and when was it?

Good Luck

And stop being so patient

email NVC twice a week or at least nce a week to find out what is going on as soon as it happens

No one knows what day is best. I have heard Tuesday aftenoons then heard wed and thursday mornings.

Cases are started and finished everyday so just pick one day of the week and call them that ay

I do not like MOndays-everyone seems cranky in the world so I do not call them on Mondays anymore

I like Tuesdays and Fridays-everyone loves Fridays!!

I like to speak to people that are happy.

So, I try to call on happy days

I studied VJ to see what questions will get the best answers from DOS so try some of these questions each time you call

what is the last update to the case and when

Can you tell me the date of the last update?

DO you know how much longer?

When was the last time someone accessed his file

when was the consulate last updated by the agencies

when you call in, ask ,

each time, for the last 3 'status changes'

with each date/time stamp, as well.

Can i have a case status update please?

When was the last time it was touched or worked on by someone other then you right now?
