I am really worried, I will need to use a co-sponsor for my affidavit of support for my fiances k1 visa, and someone recently posted that I should find out if the Embassy in Nairobi would allow me to use a co-sponsor. I had no idea this could be a problem at the interview. Our I129F has been approved and we are waiting for our appointment at the Embassy. I am not currently in the US, I am with my Fiance and will be seeking employment on my return. I have been in the Peace Corps and will return to the US with my Fiance. My mother has the space and funds to support us until we are self sufficent. Is this really going to be a problem can anyone advise me?

I haven't heard about co-sponsors NOT being allowed but someone might chime in that has used one.

Also, hi from a fellow RPCV!

Thank You for your response. I have looked through the Nairobi Forum for any infomation on the co-sponsor but have had no luck. I did send an e-mail the the embassy and I will try to call them on Monday. It makes me really nervous to think we have come this far and may have to start over. AHAHAHAH!!!!!

Hi back to a RPCV. Did you serve in Africa?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I should have known I could count on a fellow RPCV. What a relief it is to know others have been successful with a co-sponsor.

This process is so stressful. I feel like someone else is in control of our future. I can stress over every detail. I know our realationship is valid and we have all our proof but you I worry something will get missed or go wrong.

Thanks you so much again.
