One of my concerns during this process was the amount of money I transferred to my fiancee. I paid to get dental work there before coming to the US, I bought her a computer (hers broke down), I paid for three trips to see her parents (because she will be gone soon), I asked her to quit her job... and on and on. My point is, I sent her $ 4,000 in seven months. I was worried because I then read that people say that money and fiancee Visa does not mix.

Now I knew that most men send their fiancees' money if they can. I think it is worse when you show up and haven't sent any money.

The bottom line is my fiancee showed all of the receipts when asked. She said the girl next to her had dated less than a year and had three times the amount of receipts that she had and she was approved too. So showing money transfers in itself in Manila does not seem to be a problem.

My wife (then Fiance) said that the single proof she was asked to show during the actual Embassy interview was the most recent receipt for a Money Transfer which happened to have been the day before.

How did they know you had sent money in the first place?

In our case, they did not ask for and we did not supply any evidence of transfering money. Of course I sent money to pay for the visa fee & St Lukes, etc.

Sending money to your Fiancee is pretty much a given, I am sure the embassy expects it to happen. I too have bought computers and so on.... no worries, nothing wrong with giving money to your Fiancee, after all... she will soon be your wife... then she gets EVERYTHING!!!

You have more problem if you dont show any money transfer. Its already a well known fact that majority of filipina fiancees received money/allowance from the USC.

On the perception of the reviewer, particularly the filipino ones, USC support their filipinas. And its an unusual case for them if a filipina dont receive allowance from USC. But this kind of mindset was an opportunity for me to be bitchy towards them. :-)

j. EVIDENCE OF A GENUINE ENGAGEMENT. You must be prepared to prove to the consular officer

that you have a genuine relationship with your petitioner and a clear intention to marry within 90 days of

admission into the U.S. In the past, successful applicants have submitted photographs, letters, e-mails,

phone records, bank records, and remittance records as evidence supporting their relationships and intent to

marry.

I don't think they follow a script for questions. I think the questions change. My fiancee said that the first Filipina Screener specifically asked her for money receipts. She briefly looked at them, folded them up handed them back and told her to show it to the next screener. The next Consular Officer did not ask for the receipts but he did ask her a tricky question that only my fiancee and he would know by reviewing my background. Just be sure you tell your fiancee everything about you.

He asked her what my favorite food was too??? She said grilled fish. Well, it was an answer but I think Chicken Wings might have been good too.

Ah then you should try "WING STOP" if you have one in your neck of the woods! If your into spicy (hot) try their ATOMIC wings extra hot.

It's unusual if a guy is not sending money to his Pinay fiancee.

Oh "Atomic" is just that when it hits your mouth. A mix of Atomic and Cajun seems like a good balance.

Wing Stop is the bomb! Pun intended.

Well better than hitting the bottom end :bonk::rofl::rofl::rofl:

When you eat the atomic flavored wings, you get a 2fer. You taste it at the top and you feel it at the bottom end.

And if you get a good case of heartburn, it's the meal that just keeps on giving.
