what is 'I-130 adjudication'?

Hello. I filed my I-130 two days ago. I was looking at the timeline on this site, and it says that if we put our NOA1 date, then we can find out how long it would take to adjudicate the I-130. Although I haven't gotten my NOA1 yet (though it will probably come within a week), I just randomly put the date of 2/21/12 to test it out, and it says that my I-130 adjudication would be somewhere between end of August to mid September. Am I right to assume that 'I-130 adjudication' is referring to the I-130 package only (not the NVC part, etc)? Or is it referring to the time until my husband would get his visa?

I thought that normally the I-130 part takes about 4-5 months, and then NVC part until interview takes another 4-5 months... for about 9-10 months total. So if the I-130 part will take around 6-7 months (based on the timeline, assuming it's only referring to the first part of the process and not the NVC stuff), isn't this a little long? Are things currently running behind this year?

Just thought I'd ask if anyone knew what this was about. Thanks!
