Hi everybody our petition was approved and is on its way to Tunisia, but I have  some quick questions before I send a package to my fiancé. He has a complete copy of the petition and documentation that was sent in with it.

I realized that what was sent in for the petition was my original certified copy of my birth certificate(one with the seal). Should I have go ahead and get a new certified copy and send it to my fiancé or can he ask them for it at the interview and give them the copy he has.

NOA1 & NOA2- Does he need the originals of these for the interview or is copies ok.

Thanks,

Kimberly

Ask for the original back at the interview

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Never send originals, order another certificate, take it and have a Certified COPY (with a stamp on it) and send that. The certifier will put his/her stamp to verify the copy they made was from the original document

I didn't mean to send the orginal birth certificate. Do you know about the NOA1 and NOA2 if theses are needed at the interview in Tunisia?

This link is great... http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse ...It even includes the "extra's" that you can provide as well. I included everything above and beyond. I would rather give more than needed than to not have something

OK WAIT!! I may be wrong (not the first time) I did some google searching and reading. I thought you could take an original to a lawyer and get a "certified copy"....I found this link .... http://www.***removed***/immigration/certified-copy.html

I will do some checking and find out more. I registered my original BC at the embassy as we went to them to to register our marriage even after registering in the city court. Maybe other that have completed the I-130 and prepared their NVC packet that was accepted can shed some light.

The originals they will most likely ask for at his interview are an original updated B3 police certificate and possibly originals of the marriage certificate and/or his birth certificate. They won't request your original birth certificate. They will also return to him any original documents they have in their possession with the exception of the B3.

The embassy staff is very nice and you can email them to ask for a list of original documents that he needs to have with him. He does not need the NOA's but he will need the copy of his interview scheduled date as that is his ticket into the embassy. You can scan and email him a copy in the event he does not get his original in the mail before the interview. My husband took a copy, the mail is slow there.
