Sorry to litter the forums with a minor update, but I'm just TOO DARN EXCITED!

Just received the email and text a couple of hours ago that our K1 Petition has been received and routed to the California Service Center for processing. The notices came just before 11PM PST on Wednesday 2/15... the application was sent Friday 2/10 and delivered via FedEx 2/13... so only had to wait 2 business days for the first NOA (electronic).

I was nervous cause I realized right after we sent in the packet that I forgot to write my name on the back of my passport photo (I wish I had found VJ before sending to triple check everything but I only stumbled upon it a few days ago), but I guess it was good enough to move the next level. Now for the looooong wait.

Fingers crossed -- I'll keep everyone updated. It's such a minor update but I feel like 1000 pounds have been lifted. WOOOHOO!

You are too excited. You are also too relieved. You also should never have been worried. Accpetance for processing does not mean the petition meets the requirements for approval in any way. It means you enclosed a check for the proper amount and signed the I-129f form, NOTHING MORE.

Another thread running here right now is about a denial a person received because they sent ONLY the I-129f forma and nothing else. THAT package was also "accepted for processing" In fact ALL petitions that are ever denied WERE accepted for processing.

All that aside...no need to worry about not printing your name on the passport photos. That will not cause an RFE or other problem, UNLESS they misplace your passport photos. But if you hadn't included the photos at all, your petition would still be accepted for processing.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!

Hey Gary --

Yes, I'm sure that's true. Just happy to know the packet was received and is in the system.

By the way, I've really enjoyed reading your posts on here. Some of the threads you have on VJ are the reason I ultimately signed up. So cheers! And I'll be sure to keep my emotions in check from here on out. B-)
