When you call them Monday ask if your case is undergoing administrative processing which might take 1-6 weeks extra at nvc.

Also, I remember seeing a post earlier today where a guy had to wait 5 weeks from his noa2 to get his case number

Sometimes getting a case number takes 2 days and sometimes it has taken 66 days.

Lately it has been around 2-3 weeks.

I just spoke to NVC 5 minutes ago. Back up 1 week, I called them last week and was notified that they received my package and they gave me the BGT number. All good right?

Well I just called 5 minutes ago to see if they have forwarded the package yet to Bogota BUT was told that it is under AP (Additional Processing) and they could not give a date when the package would be forwarded to the US Embassy in Bogota????

Is this normal?

MAY I KNOW HOW TO GET NOA2

To get an NOA 1 the first thing to do is make application (example K-1), this process takes 5 to 8 months, once this is approved you will be notified via a NOA 2.

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

well i have no idea if its even in ap they dont have me in the system at alll so they cant give me any info how stressful :wow:

Did you call nvc and ask... Am I in ap. They wont tell unless u ask

well i wish i had some kind of information on my case when i call they tell me im not in the system strange??? so frustrated im not sure what to think anymore its gonna be a month tomorrow since my noa2 and no case number no info nothing what could it possible bee they lost my petition?? :(

no i have not asked them if i am in ap i mean if they cant pull me up in the system they wont have much info to tell me they had me email nvcresearch and had me attach a copy of my approval notice which i did friday so im waiting for them to get back to me

i got approved 1-31 and still no case number or nothing at nvc it has been a month now i have been and they told me to email my approval notice to nvc research and wait for them to reply i did that friday and the lady says wait for them to do their job ummm hello its been a month wth im sooo frusterated i even called uscis today any suggestions or comments to ease my wondering mind will be appreciated :help: anyone had similar situations???

How could DOS not have you in the system at all, they follow the case from USCIS to embassy.

NVC is not DOS btw.

I think you are afraid to ask the right questions to get your answers.

1. Call USCIS nd ask if they sent the case-sometimes it sits there and they forget about it

2. Call NVC and ask is my case in Administrative or additional processing?

3. Call DOS 202-663-1225 press 1 then press 0 and speak o a visa specialist-ask where is my case???
