Hello all,

My fiance is from Brazil but we lived together in Australia for over 6 months, thus we need to get a background check from Australia. We need to send over a copy of his fingerprints with the application form to Australia. We have gone to the Federal Police, the Civil Police, in addition to other government agencies here in Brazil and no one knows how or where to get fingerprints done. I have contacted the US Embassies in Sao Paulo and Rio asking if we can go there to get fingerprints done to send to Australia and they have said to contact the Australian Embassy. I emailed the Australian Embassy and they said to contact the police in Australia about fingerprints. This is so frustrating! Does anyone know where in Brazil I can have a copy of my fiance's fingerprints done? This cannot be so difficult!

Thank you in advance for your help :)
