EAD not coming? Does everyone get their EAD?

Hi all,

I cant remember if I wrote about this, but my husband and i are wondering where the HECK his EAD work authorization is. I look at other people's timelines and it says that they got their EAD after their biometrics...like a month after, and my husband's is not coming? The last word we got was that our application was being transferred to CSC. We looked at our case status and it still says "Initial Review"

Any advice? Suggestions? We really want him to start work.

If your NOA1 is dated 11/19 it hasn't been 3 months yet. I bet you'll get approved within 2 weeks. Good luck.

No not everyone who applys for an EAD gets one. If the AOS is approved before the EAD thos people do not get an EAD.

Your EAD seems well overdue, and if transferred to CSC you could be waiting a long time yet for the GC. Have you tried calling USCIS? If your EAD hasn't arrived after 75 or 90 days (depending on who you talk to) of the NOA1 date you can put in a service request.

Make sure you are checking the right numbers on your NOA's. We had two different numbers, one for the EAD and another (one digit different) for the AOS. In our case, when I check the EAD number on USCIS, it says "card/document production" and for the number attached to the AOS, "initial review." Because the numbers are only one digit different, it could be overlooked. Hope this helps.
