We are a week away from our AOS interview and my wife used my handgun to shoot at a coyote that wanted to eat our dogs. We live well outside the city limits so it was completely safe, BUT... they had to run her name and numbers, she does not even have a state ID card yet. Of course she is a bit upset, not only from having to use a gun but for having any police involvement without even having a free card yet. While she is not yet eligible to BUY a gun it is not illegal for her to use mine in an emergency. Whew!

It's in the County, so she called just to let them know it was a lawful discharge in case any one else called in the shot.

No one called it in, but we asked a neighbor if he heard it and he said yes, made him want to join the party!

I wouldn't stress. You've filed AOS, she is in a "period of authorised stay" so she's fine. You say she didn't break a law. She wasn't arrested. She's totally fine. Don't worry about it.

Gray wolves are listed as endangered throughout the United States except for a few states.
