I answered your question in post 2.

You asked: "Can visitor leave the country briefly (Like Mexico or Canada) and come back for the additional remaining 2 months until her return plane ticket?"

I said: Nope.

Thanks for an answer

I did not think of this.......but Mexico requests a Visa from a European citizen?

Now you know that she can't use a trip to either Canada or Mexico to extend her U.S. stay, it may no longer be relevant, but...

There's no such thing as a "European Citizen".

EU citizen, yes. But that's a very different thing.

What specific country is she a citizen of? Britain? Switzerland? Armenia? Europe is made up of very different countries - some people will need visas for CAN or MEX, some won't.

Yep I agree with the poster, there is no EU passport. She still holds a Passport from particular country and based on which country she holds the passport from would determine if she needs visa to visit Mexico or Canada.

There is also no EU Citizen.

There are Citizens of Countries that are part of the EU.

Armenia is not in Europe. Albania is.

I think sometimes, iit does happen.

From a logic point of view, If she goes to Mexico or Canada, it s a new entry when entering back, so she will be inspected again at Poe.

Means she can get another 6 months..I saw that happen to a person who was not interested in staying more in the us...

But then, the opposite could happen..she could be given a much shorter stay.

It s at the discretion of immigration officer.

The clock does not re-start tourist is only allowed to stay in US for max 6 months in a calendar year.

I didn t know that.

But I know of a couple who was here on a tourist visa. Were given 6 months at entry.they stayed 4 months, after which they went to the Bahamas for a long week end before returning to their country.

The immigration officer didn't extend the stay for the wife , just reporting whatever was on her previous I 94.

The husband had to go thru another inspection as it is the case for people from some countries.

And he gave him an additional 6 months.

Actually..... yes, there is.

And Armenia are members of UEFA - which is proof enough of being European for me (Israel's membership being the notable exception).

It is a supplemantry citizenship means you still need the citizenship of the country which is accepted the treaty and is part of EU.

Citizenship of the Union is hereby established. Every person holding the nationality of a Member State shall be a citizen of the Union. Citizenship of the Union shall be additional to and not replace national citizenship.

Unfortunately EU citizenships being supplementry it is not considered for the immigration purpose, it is the nationality of the country is taken into account.

The B2 visa will allow travel to Canada Mexico. You don't need a separate visa for trips less than 30 days. You reenter the USA with the original I-94 as long as it's still valid(so don't surrender the I-94). Trips greater than 30 days would require a new admission to the USA.

As Harsh said, if for some reason they refuse entry back into USA, you would have to book a flight back to the home country.

If a B2 visitor takes a trip to any other country besides Mexico or Canada, they would surrender their I-94. They would require a new admission to reenter the USA. Mexico and Canada are the exceptions to this.
