As long as he meets the income requirements, no problem. He just needs the statement from the VA showing his monthly/annual income. The latest few bank statements showing the direct deposits would be helpful as well.

Proof of income will be adequate. I don't pay taxes either but I meet the requirements

What did you say in your application to explain your filing exemption?

I've read that some folks just state the IRS publication number, others quoted the section(s), some actually printed out the exemptions and included them in the package. And there are some who simply stated that they weren't required and didn't include anything.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

I have my 1099s and documents stating the amounts I receive. Including a copy of the 915 publication (or which ever applies for your situation) would be a good idea just in case the CO at the embassy isn't aware that certain pensions are not taxable

Thanks. I also have my 1099s and appropriate increase statements.

Did you include all 31 pages of IRS Pub 915?

If I do that, I'd hate to have to include all 60+ pages from the two publications that I'm using. Ugh.

I was thinking of just referencing and quoting the pubs and sections, perhaps with page numbers.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

With the 915 I printed the first 5-6 pages only, I personally don't think its an issue and the CO are aware the SSI and other programs are not taxable for the most part.

I'll do the same. Thanks again!
